    People post rates per hour and when you ask, that’s not it, it’s much higher. Can’t communicate with helpers without paying for more info

    The app is terribly glitchy, is slow and it is very frustrating. It does not work seamlessly like most apps, it is designed like a website, rather than an app.

    I’m not a fan of this app. I posted a job for a nanny, out of 26 applications only 11 replied back to me. It seems like applicants can mass apply to any job. Wish there was a better screening option for candidates. As far as app quality, the app is very slow and closes abruptly while in use.

    Absolutely do not recommend. The app is so glitchy that 50% of the times that I try to open the app, it processes forever and never opens. 50% is not an exaggeration. I have tried updating both the app and iOS, with no improvement. Notifications are inconsistent as well. The app also closes your posting without notifying you, so you have to go into the posting to see if it’s still open. It is insane that the app is charging $40/month for this kind of functionality. Additionally, caregivers will message with you and then ghost you after agreeing to a call. It is impossible to tell if this is due to caregivers being flaky, or if they are not receiving app notifications (some have confirmed that they also find the app to be glitchy; many messages show was “read” 10+ days later).

    Terrible experience using this app. Both technically this app is crude and sluggish and not very professional in its presentation. Also as a premium member, which touts background checks on the providers side. I encountered at least two fraudulent accounts. Where I was personally told by the providers that they were not who their profiles portrayed them to be. Also though it is just my speculation. After I terminated my premium membership and let them know that it was because I could not find any suitable applicants for my home healthcare aid needs. Suddenly in the last few days of being a premium member. I began receiving applications from very "reasonable" and "quite interested" applicants but which would never materialize. Shills? And lastly when I went to delete my account they sent an email stating to the effect "California law requires Care.com to hold on to my personal data for a year or so." So I would not pay for premium or use this app unless you know someone personally who was able to find quality home care aids in your area. The utility of this app may also vary by region.

    App relies heavily on the web interface. Login/sign up process results in app communication errors and software confusion. In app updates, specifically chat, are slow and inelegant. Data scrubbing is obnoxious. Two apps is generally a terrible concept. Using the app out of necessity to find care , but I don’t enjoy it.

    I have tried to book in care.com with about 20 people,but never succeeded. All of these people told me not to come at the last second by the appointment time. Thatwas ridiculous.
