AI Test Kitchen is an app where people can learn about, experience, and give feedback on emerging AI technology. Our goal is to learn, improve, and innovate responsibly on AI together. Similar to a real test kitchen, AI Test Kitchen will serve a rotating set of experimental demos. These products are designed to give you a taste of what’s becoming possible with AI in a responsible way. Our first set of demos explores the capabilities of LaMDA 2, our latest version that has undergone key safety improvements. The first demo, “Imagine It”, lets you name a place and offers paths to explore your imagination. With the “List It” demo, you can share a goal or topic, and LaMDA will break it down into a list of helpful subtasks. And in the “Talk About It (Dogs Edition)” demo, you can have a fun, open-ended conversation about dogs and only dogs, which explores LaMDA’s ability to stay on topic even if you try to veer off-topic.

    Considering the questions asked before joining the waitlist I had assumed we would be granted a proper demonstration but this is just a novel toy at best. Google do not seem to be taking the research seriously if this is the best they can come up with.

    I submitted my interest and finally I was chosen. It was my turn and the app don’t work now. So disappointed, I was excited to have this opportunity to be a part of this. Hope I can get an answer as well as another chance

    Tried the three demos. It writes okay but the engagements are so limited. Didn’t impress me much.

    It’s obvious that it will be a small startup that will win the AI war. Big companies are too conservative and they neuter all fun out of this app. Don’t ask it anything remotely fun else you will get nonsense back.

    Gives the error “Application error: a client-side exception has occurred” across multiple devices. There is no way to report this to Google or to get help for the error.
