This app didn’t work like it was intended to. We were highly disappointed. We had no service to cancel the subscription and was charged for the app before we could get back home to cancel the service.

I used the app’s gps feature to provide info as we drove around in Yellowstone. While the app provided some useful info, the majority of the comments it gave concerned where to spend money at every consessioneer we past. Sorry, but I not paying $6.99 a month for a bunch of commercials. Also it has a weird obsession with vault toilets.

How do I cancel this horrible app? I’m being charged numerous times for an app that doesn’t work including something called “Pro.” So unfair that the app never worked during my trip but still charged for the app plus additional charges that I have no idea what for since nothing worked on the app. I want my money back PLEASE! Do not purchase this app!!!

Very helpful having GPS access to park maps when there’s no cell signal. Did find it amusing how the audio guidance in Yellowstone seemed oddly enthusiastic about vault toilets.
  • Not worth the money

The app is suitable for your needs at the free level, the premium levels main feature that is touted is the ability to use maps with out cell service, which it does however it was far from useful. There is no search function with the map in offline or online mode, you either tap on the map for a destination or search through a list of names of every point of interest, campground, trail or rock in the park. It is not useful and not worth your money.

While using in Yellowstone & Grand Tetons(after downloading app & parks before the trip) app would start audio, but then stop. Did this the entire week. It continued the updates, but no audio. Also it really burns through battery life and made my iPhone 12 extremely hot. I would say app failed
  • Wasn’t what I hoped at all

We gave it a try on our trip to Acadia. It really has a lot of potential, but there still a lot of glitches and details to work out. Specifically, we could not get the audio to work because it said that it was not downloaded, which it was. There’s no way to force download it like with most apps. We went to the hotel that night and tried it on Wi-Fi. Thinking that may be the issue, made no difference in the audio never worked again. the part where you can navigate to see where you’re at on the map is very helpful except it always wants to orient at this weird angle instead of straight down and when you move it it moves right back. Makes it really difficult to know where you’re at and what’s ahead of you when it’s at that slanted angle I think with some changes to include the ability to specifically download and confirm that it’s download and a few other things it would be great.
  • Worst app ever

It would tell me I was 20 miles away from the park when I was standing at the visitor center. It would only guide me to something when I was driving toward it. There is no search option to search a popular place in the park to figure out how close you are to it or how to get to it. You have to be driving toward it before it will ever come up and even then popular pull outs or scenes don’t show up all of the time. If you want an app that will tell you where the vault toilets are or where about 1/10 of the picnic tables are, then this app is okay. If you are wanting an app to guide you to a particular place in the park or an app that can be reliable to know where you are in the park this is not the app.
  • Good concept

Can’t force the download of audio files for the ‘Parkwolf GPS’ feature. No support in the app, just a Contact Us page. Will not be buying the Pro subscription if it will be like this at other parks, we’re currently at Yellowstone trying to use it. I like the animal heatmaps (spotting locations?) but that’s not a reason to download this app over other National Park guides.

Have used paper maps, but paying for pro is cheaper if you travel national parks a lot. Definitely worth it.
