DeeMoney: Global MoneyTransfer

Ok so the service is cheap and fast for sending money out of Thailand. However be aware that they will WEAR YOU OUT with Line messages asking you to use their service after you use it once. EXTREMELY ANNOYING. Think of a telemarketer calling you weekly even though you’ve already said no. I guess they don’t understand that you wire money when you need to……not because they send you Line messages.

I have used Deemoney overtime to transfer funds from Thailand to the United States in order to pay ongoing bills there. In the past, DeeMoney has worked quickly and efficiently. However, more recently, every time I attempt to make the same small transfer (about $250), from the same Thailand bank account, to the same US Bank account, involving the same sender (me) to the same recipient (me'), I receive an error message that the transaction cannot be processed and that I should contact customer support. To their credit, customer support has always been able to correct whatever the problem is and to process my transaction. But the whole process of having to contact customer support, get them involved, and wait for them to do their thing, eliminates the speed and efficiency that once characterized the use of DeeMoney. Moreover, despite my repeated question as to why this is now happening every time I try to make a transaction, Customerservice simply ignores my question and provides no information at all as to what's going on. Apparently, it's just a new fact of life when using DeeMoney. Bottom line: DeeMoney remains useful to me, but it is no longer the quick and efficient service it once was.

While the one time registration with Dee Money was a bit cumbersome, the app itself works as intended. The process is simple and the transfer speed is surprisingly fast. Have been using this up for years and not even once there was a glitch of any kind.

Whoever is running this company is completely incompetent. If you are not a Thai citizen then expect to have trouble when you send even small amounts of money as you explain why you need to send it and how you got it. Further, you can be in the country completely legally and be denied permission to send funds depending on when your visa expires. Of course they aren’t organized enough to send you any information in advance - you will go through the whole process to send money, then they will contact you on LINE (because this is the most secure method to discuss finances) and then you will be told you are not able to send funds. Another nice idea that completely fails to execute. Thailand is not a country for serious business and Dee Money does a great job of illustrating that.
