HI I look forward to each news event and whatever I pick is very engaging. Please don’t take this as a dig but my dog is a big part of my life and cuts into my reading time. He hates it when I pick up a book but the podcasts finds him raptly listening as I do also. Judi Winters

It’s a really good app with plenty of content.
  • No audio when screen is locked

On Sunday, the app worked great. I could start an audio story or podcast, lock the screen and go about my business with my phone in my pocket. Today (2 days later), the audio no longer plays when the screen is locked. This makes the app useless. Back to the Apple Podcast and News apps. Very disappointing.

Most of this content can be gotten in my regular podcast app. I’m a NYTimes subscriber. Why are there ads if I listen while logged in through this app???

This is fabulous. Keep putting meat on these bones. This is a very worthwhile effort.

I liked Audm and resent that I am forced into NYTimes app for the same content. It feels like a choice was ripped away from me whether it really was or not. As a consumer, it makes me feel cajoled and resigned. If you can, please go back to Audm or something like it. Someday all the Baby Boomers will be gone. Thanks.

I don’t have much time to read the NYT although I try because it is such excellent reporting. But this audio allows me to really dig in and I’m thoroughly enjoying it. . Not to mention learning a great deal. Thank you for making this available..

  • App requires connection to even start

Two major issues I ran into: 1. Any update will erase your downloads 2 App requires you to be connected to even start listening to your downloaded podcasts. Doesn’t make any sense. Look at the Apple Podcasts. Works offline. This app doesn’t.
  • Inflexible, deleted

Can’t customize the daily playlist - a fatal flaw. I don’t care about sports, cooking , or current popular music, etc., so have to tediously skip those. Curation is valuable, but at least give me a choice of the general topics I want to listen to. After trying it for several weeks, finally deleted the app and reverted to listening to the handful of NYT podcasts available in the stock Podcasts app. I may reconsider if they ever fix this.
