This up couldn’t recognize most of the plants that I was trying to find the name for so I don’t believe I’ll purchase this app. Hopefully I’ll find a better one.
  • RECOGNITION DOESN’T WORK

I needed help identifying a flower in a bouquet that we received as a gift - pretty standard bouquet. My cat chewed on some of the flowers and my fear was that one of them was a Lily, which are LETHAL to cats. I am no plant/flower expert and I wanted confirmation of whether the flower that my cat had chewed was a Lily or not. So, I download the app, scan the flower and the result comes back “Lily”. My heart sank into my stomach, rushed my cat to a Veterinarian Emergency Hospital, and prayed that by some miracle my cat would survived that death sentence that lilies are to cats. When I met with the doctor, she asked to see a picture of the flower, so I showed her… it was a tulip… A TULIP!!!! Thankfully, it meant that my cat would be perfectly fine and I’m just an overreactive pet parent, but I trusted this app! It misled me by providing wrong information on a SUPER BASIC flower. The developer and the company owe me the $150 I spent on the Vet ER and I will be sure to tell and share this story with as many friends and family as I can, so that they know that this app and the results/information DO NOT WORK/ARE WRONG.
  • Too good to be true, deceptive pricing

No cost listed on the apps page in the store, then hit with the “free trial” that requires payment information! Suddenly not so free. This is a deceptive practice. Sure the app developers need to be paid for their work, but they also need to be upfront with pricing. And paying by the week is absolutely absurd!
  • Can’t justify the high $

The pricing structure seems to be very manipulative. 3 days free, then $8 weekly, then I went to cancel and was offered a significantly cheaper rate to stay. Not for me.

Wish the app allowed you to upload a photo from your own picture roll : gallery. I take plenty of plant photos and save for later when I have the time to research them. I don’t see an option for this, only an option to take a photo of a plant. :/ The AI chat is weak. It’s not specific to the app so it will give you general tools or info for generic stuff not applicable to Plant App.

This is a really nice app- but I was very surprised to see it was $8.99 Every WEEK!!! Definitely not worth that just to identify a plant. It says cancel anytime. I did - but do not even have access to the plants I PAID to see! Ripoff
