Encrypted file can’t be found. I must be missing something. After encrypting I can’t find the encrypted file. Selecting share, but where to.

Doesn’t work. Encrypted file alright but would not decrypt!
  • Too many bugs for safely encrypting critical files

I really hoped this app would be a good solution for me to encrypt and decrypt files across my iPad, iPhone, and Mac. Unfortunately, I was able to encrypt a Pages document on my iPad, but I was unable to decrypt it. On my Mac I tried encrypting a .rtf file I created in TextEdit, but it gave me an error saying it was trying to save the encrypted file in a format the app didn’t even support. In another error message on my Mac, it said it was trying to use a “null” file extension when encrypting the .rtf file. I really wanted to use this app, but I just don’t feel comfortable encrypting my files with the fear that I may not be able to decrypt them again in the future because the app had too many bugs. If you do use this app, I don’t recommend using it for very important documents.

This is the iPhone File Encryptor that I have been looking for. The user interface is totally functional. It asks you if you want to Encrpypt or Decrypt a file, then it lets you navigate to the file. Then choose your storage options. Store locally or choose the iCloud. Your done. It don’t get any better than that! 👍
