Description

OneStep is an FDA-listed medical app that uses smartphone motion sensors to provide immediate, clinically-validated feedback on gait and mobility — no wearables or calibration necessary. Providers and clinicians across the US are using OneStep to drive patient engagement, monitor mobility, identify fall risk, and deliver highly-personalized remote care. OneStep's smartphone-based motion analysis — the OneStep app is able to capture real-world movement during everyday activities such as walking, running, and negotiating stairs. Additionally, using the app patients can record joint range of motion and standardized functional mobility assessments. Results are shared with the patient and automatically transmitted to the OneStep clinician portal for remote therapeutic monitoring (RTM). OneStep’s innovative virtual care and remote therapeutic monitoring technology is based on sophisticated motion science that provides immediate, clinically-validated feedback on gait and mobility and enables proactive, data-driven care that transcends in-person visits. Key OneStep Features: - Active and passive gait analyses - ROM measurements and standardized tests (TUG, STS, and more) - Patient-reported outcome measures (LEFS, PSFS, and more) - Easy-to-follow and customizable daily home exercise programs - Video, audio, and text messaging for ongoing communication - Synchronous virtual visit capabilities - Patient progress reports and insights Why OneStep? - Enhance clinical insight. OneStep empowers actionable insight based on heightened visibility into patient mobility, health, and risk status that optimizes patient assessment and care management. - Boost patient engagement: OneStep motivates patients with actionable feedback, ongoing communication with their providers, convenient virtual care options, and easy-to-follow routines — improving clinical outcomes, adherence, and retention. - Capture objective evidence. OneStep equips providers with evidence to justify medical necessity and establish clinical excellence by capturing patient progress or risk profile and clearly documenting the efficacy of devices and interventions. OneStep App integrates with the Apple HealthKit library for providing even more refined measurements and health outcome to users.

  • Good concept but breaks all the time

    1. It appears that every time Apple does a new software release this app breaks and they have to release a new version. 2. Requires you turn on location tracking including allowing it to get location data from other apps.
  • App doesn’t work

Unable to start with initial activity due to glitch in permissions settings. Support services are unresponsive. This app was offered as part of a medical procedure that cost over $5k out of pocket. Disappointed.

OneStep has been great. After minor injuries to ankle and knee I lost a lot of mobility due to back pain. The physical therapist prescribed by my doctor focused only on my knee even when I asked for a few suggestions for my back. Conventional medicine is dictated by insurance so recovered or not I was allowed only the number of sessions deemed appropriate for a broken knee. With OneStep I can continue affordably until I reach the goals I set for myself - being able to walk and having the ability to do simple household tasks without pain. I never would have been able to figure out what exercises to do on my own. My physical therapist Stephanie, who has had years of experience working with athletes, has observed how I move throughout the process to see where I need to get stronger and adjusts my exercises as needed, and can swap out exercises if something is too difficult for me. The exercises themselves take minutes a day and I appreciate being able to do them from the convenience of my home whenever I want. If I have questions either for my physical therapist or customer service they get back to me quickly. I’m amazed by the progress I have made and the mobility I have gained. I have started walking on a regular basis and am getting back to household chores I was unable to do for a few years like vacuuming, dishes and laundry as well as getting back to gardening which has been wonderful. This concept is phenomenal and I can’t recommend it highly enough.

Well I spent most of my time in recovery at home, but-there became a point where I needed to be able to travel for work and do physical therapy by teleconference in my hotel rooms. I googled it and found this app, and has been the answers to my prayers! I get individualized one on one treatment. five stars!! they are never too busy to know the ins and outs of my case each time we speak they can modify each treatment/exercise/therapy session to accommodate for pain and stretching. This was a real life changer. I love the service! Would definitely recommend
