    I could see the potential of this app being useful however, I find it very average and comparable to others. The most unpleasant experience has been. I’ve been trying to cancel, and I have had no response from the support team. It’s very similar to other apps and I want a refund as I don’t see it being helpful for what I’m looking for.

    Good luck scanning of even looking for “egg white omelette “ the database is ridiculous for the pricing. Defeats the whole purpose . You can’t even use the algorithm if the database of food is unusable. And then pretty bad about copying food to different days or just common sense logging stuff that most apps have . I tried it a few times and every time I go back to myfitness of MacroFactor . For the price should be much better

    So far, I’ve been trying to log into the app and it keeps crashing. I’ll probably try deleting it and redownloading, but for a paid app this is not what I was expecting.

    This app has made a huge difference in my life. I’d become very superstitious about a number of foods as I tried to stick to some very puritanical diets. I also felt out of control as I stuffed myself on “healthy” foods or indulged in insane cheat days. This app changed everything. I finally have the information I need to make good choices. I can eat a diverse selection of foods. I’m less stressed, my brain fog is lifting, and I’m sleeping way better. This is such a useful tool!

    Edit: I assume the generic response below that doesn’t answer my question is the type of “coaching” and customer support you’d receive with this app. I now understand why this app doesn’t offer a free trial before taking your money — the functionality is trash! Barcode scanner doesn’t recognize common brands, there’s no recipe import, searching for brands gives you a bunch of unrelated noise. If you only eat one ingredient at a time this might be useful, but if you cook regularly it’s a huge hassle.

    I am a fan of Layne and the body of work he has provided the nutrition and fitness world. I bought the app to support him and I have found it handy. It takes a little time to build up your own personal database of common foods you consume, but after a month or two the daily time requirement is maybe a minute or two. One critique is that the coach portion doesn’t work quite as well as you’d want it to. For example, I maintain my weight at calories above target for a few months (implying that my maintenance calories are higher than what the app thinks). The app never adjusts up. That said, strongly suggest app based on all other features.

    This app has made all the difference for me. Buy it, set your targets, comply, report, rinse, repeat and you’ll get the results you’ve always wanted. I’ve struggled with fads for all my life and can’t believe it’s truly this simple and flexible, but it is.
