  • Bad support

There are too many people who dedicate themselves to scamming in this game and stealing accounts. The support team for this game is absolute garbage. You can have all the proof in the world, the conversation, proof of purchases you made in the game so that they know that the account was yours and do nothing to return your account. They don't help the victims and let the scammers get away with it. There are too many people being scammed and the support team does nothing. Super sad because the game is very good!!!

Long time player here, been playing for a couple of years, threw money at it, and have a few gacha games under my belt. So I think its time for an honest and blunt review. Gem Economy (2/5): Unless you are a new player, the rate at which the player gains gems is abysmally low. ESPECIALLY if you are a vet. Once you scrape all the gems from story and the unit compendium, that’s it. You’ll have to rely on the log-in gems, apologems from maintenance (if any), and events. This doesn’t sound to bad at first, but I’ll explain why below. Gacha System (2/5): It costs 50 gems to summon on a banner. The first summon is guaranteed to be a five star…But that five star is usually, and unapologetically trash. Unusable in any content whatsoever unless you are good at the game and throughly analyze its use cases. Once you do that guaranteed summon, your 50 gem summons are no longer guaranteed to get anything noteworthy, and you gain a “hero gem” which you can put toward Alch stones for an Alch summon, or towards the “pity” system. Which brings me to my next point- Pity System (1/5): Trash. You need 30 hero gems in order to exchange for the unit you want. That’s this games pity. This means you need 1500 gems total in order to garuntee a character. This isn’t Genshin where you can skip a banner and be ready to pull the character after the current one nooooo, for this games pity you need to skip several banners and go through several events, potentially dooming your account in the process for one unit since this games gem economy is terrible. To illustrate how utterly insane this is, the “Crazy for crystals pack”- which only appears once in a blue moon and offers x300 crystals, is $74…..and that’s one of the BETTER packs. You’re not ever hitting pity in this game. Powercreep: Atrocious. Don’t get me wrong, I love seeing big attack numbers as much as the next guy. But I’ve been here before Ascended (Super awakening) units were even a thing. I remember when VOX was the king of damage and when the knights of blood were new. But as more units came out, things got more and more insane and Vox is now below average. It’s at the point where if you don’t have certain characters, you’re not beating the more difficult stages. This isn’t the type of game where you can play with your favorites and win. That may be true for the first arc of the story and early stages. But for later stages, team comps become real restrictive, real quick. I.e you can’t beat the Ginzo stage without a certain team. Story (3/5): It’s ok. Not really bad or good, though it seems like the story was supposed to end after the first arc… Animations, Gameplay, and Art (3.5/5): The attack animations and splash art of the characters are pretty good, and GS’s gameplay is pretty unique. It’s fun for a while…until you end up looping the same stage 300 times, which brings me to my next point- Multiplayer and Farming (2/5): Unfriendly community. Now, the game DOES give high rank players rewards for carrying a newcomer. But once you’re not a newcomer anymore? Good luck finding a competent group of people to grind stages with. People are strict with the reqs, you will need the current event or crossover character at max limit break, or a character at 120 luck if you even want a chance at joining these multiplayer rooms. If you don’t have any of those, bring a character whose kit synergizes with the event character. If you have neither? The host will kick you. Sometimes you can have all of that and they’ll kick you just because. In Conclusion: Grand summoners is an “eh” game with terrible summon rates and pity system. It has atrocious powercreep and low gem economy on top of an elitist community and the story is just ok. But the silver lining is the animations are good and gameplay is unique and entertaining (to an extent). But if you ask me? Avoid this game and look elsewhere. There are other and better gacha games worthy of your time.

Grand Summoners is a very fun game that ive been playing for a couple months now. A lot of content with events happening then and there. Would definitely recommend getting this game even if its just to kill some time for the day. However I will say that there are some dead periods in the game towards the ends of crossovers and events and obviously its a game of luck so youd be tempted to spend money just to get that whatever you want. Overall its a very fun game.

The game is enjoyable to newcomers because there is much content to enjoy. However, it does not take very long to beat most if not all of the games playable content. I reduced my review from 4 stars to 2, because the developers have focused heavily on bringing paid content (weapons and characters) instead of playable content to keep me engaged. I personally loved the multiplayer in this game, but it is no longer viable. Devs focused on bringing super overpowered units that can conquer any scenario, given that and auto play now, it's more of an IDLE single player game, where as 2 years ago, it felt like an MMO. Every week there are new units added, rather than tweaking or scaling combat and rewards, or adding engaging features, it has become what we feared, a glorified Unit collector. My recommendations if devs even care, 1.) Scale combat and rewards. 2.) Invest in multiplayer engagement, such as clans, community monsters, and/or larger raid parties. 3.) Scale multiplayer rewards to be more enticing and fun then loop farming. 4.) Bring more story content and adventures, rather than new units and equipment.
