  • Respirations=Fever

I love the breaths per minute feature. I always know when my daughter has a fever first by the rate of her respirations. Typically she breathes about 18-20 a minute while sound asleep. When she has a fever she is breathing well into the 30s. Thank you Nanit! You have saved a momma many times!

I had such a hard time transitioning my son to his own room. the Nanit made the transition so much easier! The picture quality is very clear, I love the memories and milestones that they make up for you every month. Highly recommend it to all parents with little ones!

So thankful we finally started using this when our baby was 6 months old and moved into his own room. The breathing wrap and monitor has given us a huge peace of mind. I also absolutely love being able to see him in his crib even if I’m away from the house. I highly recommend the Nanit to all parents with little ones!

Love being able to check in on my grand baby. Just to watch when sleeping or waking up. It’s comforting.

Has a few hiccups but is helpful!
  • “computer vision” flawed; sensitive about the wrong things

Not sure why they don’t use actual sound to know that our baby is clearly not asleep or has not fallen asleep because she is babbling in her crib. I’ve reported this error literally dozens of times and no changes/updates have been made. Because the app doesn’t accurately report whether or not she is awake or asleep when she’s babbling, her sleep data is way off and says that she is getting more sleep than she really is—not accounting for the night wake(s) she has where she is up babbling for an hour or more. Also, when the camera switches from day to night mode (or vice versa), there is a clicking noise the camera makes that is enough to wake our baby. Super annoying, especially if/when you’re trying to sleep train your baby. If your room has a window & there are even the SLIGHTEST variations in light—the camera will switch back & forth between day & night modes multiple times and it’ll sound like a light switch being turned off & on. We have blackout shades and this still occurs. Sometimes temperature & humidity readings work and sometimes they don’t, literally showing blanks that read “—“ & “—%” where the readings should be. We don’t even touch the camera or the app and it’ll switch between working & not working on its own. These issues are on top of everyone mentioning how you have to pay more to get more detailed tracking data. Am I getting inaccurate sleep data (not accounting for babbling) because I’m not paying for the premium tracking? Who knows. And not to mention that you won’t get much data at all if you’re using the $50 flex stand they have–you only will if you get the $200+ floor stand or wall mount.

Had a normal baby monitor before my kid started sleeping upstairs in her nursery. Them when she started sleeping in her crib at night the regular monitor wasn’t cutting it. This camera tells you how many breathes they are taking per minute. Even if it’s not accurate I know she’s breathing. If they move a finger it alerts you (you can adjust the movement detector sensitivity). I know it’s pricey but it’s worth the good nights rest I’m getting
