    Dear Dan Harris, thank you so very much for 10% happier. As you can probably see I use it every single day. I am a 60-year-old mom who raised her two girls on her own for the past 18 years. Just a little background. :) I have to honestly say 10% happier saves my sanity. Truthfully, more than once. The gratitude alone, each morning, helps tremendously, and at night I use the sleep meditations. As many 60-year-old’s, I battle a few health conditions, some very serious. So, I have definitely used all of the seminars, and the health related meditations as well. Thank you again from the bottom of my heart. Thank you also for ALL the teachers/mentors you have on board.     2019 was the most stressful time of my life and I developed prostatitis (inflamed prostate due to stress). Doing 10% happier everyday for 10-15min along with stretching took away ALL of my symptoms and led me to create my own self care program and app (5M Soulful Self Care App) in the Android & Apple Store.
  • High production value, tons of teachers and approaches

    10% Happier has high content value, high quality production and so many varied teachers, approaches, levels, times, types of meditation. What I love is the series classes bc each one starts with a short q&a with the teacher and it gives you insight into the meditation class to come. It is so easy to find a meditation for your particular circumstance - eating, tough conversations, walking the dog, anxiety, even driving, using the search bar. The ability to choose the length of time to mediate even with the same meditation recording, is so helpful. I can go to a fave meditation, and choose 5 minutes on a busy day and go longer when I can. I have used several meditation apps over the years and this is by far the best I have used. Thank you Dan Harris!
  • Making meditation accessible, and evoking curiosity

    This is a wonderful app. The notion that, “Yes, becoming 10 percent happier seems achievable,” puts meditation within reach as do the beginning, short meditations and the videos that accompany them. You don’t have to be the Buddha to meditate. You’re not trying to reach Nirvana. All you have to do is get into a comfortable position, allow yourself to be guided by the instructor, and whenever you find your mind wandering off just notice the thought gently “and begin again.” I still return sometimes to the comfort of the very first Beginner meditations. The videos also offer some really wonderful and thought provoking concepts. For example, I suffer from severe lifelong depression and often feel both sad and frustrated that I’m not happier. Happiness has often felt out of reach. But one of the first videos gives Happiness a complete makeover. It’s not simply a feeling. It’s a skill. And it takes practice. So instead of wondering, “Will I ever be happy?” I can just ask myself, “Can I learn a new skill?” Sure. Probably so.

    Meditation has become a daily practice like brushing teeth or physical exercise and like those it is a journey, not a destination. As Sebene says, we do not become balanced for life, but we practice balancing while we journey.
