This app used to be fantastic for planning drone flights and getting faa auto clearance. Unfortunately they migrated to a new app that is hot garbage. Rip kittyhawk šŸ˜ž

I use Aloft (Air Control) for every flight that requires advanced FAA approval. Iā€™ve used others, but Aloft is by far the best.

After exploring this enterprise LAANC solution for a specific mission, I contacted sales to learn more. They provided timely responses with informative and honest answers. Only feedback I have for the developers is to increase the distinction between the Enterprise management software vs LAANC service for Enterprises in your advertising copy.

Very disappointed with the platform shift. I would use B4UFly to check airspace, TFRā€™s and submit ā€œNotify and flyā€. The only thing I used Aloft for is the weather data and Kp Index. I use these apps for situational awareness only and would never interface them with my bird. Now that useful data is gone. I will continue to use B4UFly but Aloft is now useless to me due to itā€™s redundancy.
  • Very poor support

Really needed this app for drone operations, but Iā€™ve run into a problem with my password and I canā€™t reset it. The Forgot Password link takes me to a page to download the app. Not helpful. I went onto the website and searched for help resetting the password, but the link there was broken. So, I canā€™t sign in and canā€™t fix the password problem in any other way, apparently. I need the same sign in to use Air Control for LAANC, so canā€™t access that either, which is an additional problem. Iā€™m not at all sure why the devs have set things up this way. Why bother building an app that people canā€™t effectively use? Very disappointing.

This app doesnā€™t work anymore. Get their new one, air control. I donā€™t know why they changed it but you should communicate with your customers better. This app stopped working without warning and I was given no instructions to use the new app.

The app says my password isnā€™t correct it it is.
  • Canā€™t login recently

App works fine, similar experience with approvals not being made in time for requested flight. Have overlapped LAANCs 48 and 72 hours out. Even week ahead, still not getting consistent approvals. Canā€™t reset my login password now. Annoying. Switched to the other aloft air control app and it accepts the password. Too slow on migration of data or whatever is going on.

I use a few apps for drone use as a licensed pilot. I like the detailed airspace altitude maps but Iā€™m sorely disappointed in the approval aspect. I had a mission to fly and not only did asking for approval take too long but it was cancelled because of no response. The DJI fly safe was approved in an hour. So basically thereā€™s no reason to use this app. You get two stars only for the map info. Buh bye now.
