It’s like a remote control for Zwift that you can use pre-ride, during your ride, and post-ride. Zwift Companion is a great place to plan your next activity. With all the events in one place and thousands to choose from, you're sure to discover like-minded athletes who want to get fit together. You can also find and join clubs on Zwift Companion. You'll see rides chosen specifically for you based on your preferences, fitness level, and upcoming events. You can even set reminders, so you're never late for a ride. You'll also find a bunch of cool information on Zwift Companion's home screen, like the number of people currently Zwifting, as well as any friends or contacts you're following. Have a Zwift Hub smart trainer? You can also update the firmware with the Companion app. DURING YOUR RIDE With Zwift Companion, you can send RideOns, text with other Zwifters, bang U-Turns, choose between route options, and more. You can also adjust the resistance of your trainer on the fly during structured workouts, to increase or decrease intensity.     This Zwift Companion is invaluable when on a Zwift ride. Especially for those of us who are a little older and have a hard time reading the blocky, thick letters on Zwift, the Companion helps a rider understand where they are in the ride.

  • Companion app / play controllers are broken

    Play controllers were at 40% this must be the low limit for using with the Kickr Move for virtual shifting. Sometimes I have to restart app for it to connect properly, not a big deal. Seems to work all the time except for the one time I let my controllers batteries get low. Then it wouldn’t allow me to pair the Kickr Move and Play controllers through the app. It would transmit 0 speed even though cadence and power were active. Through process of elimination I figured it out, just needed to charge the controllers. Been all good since. App works good Mini map is great Ride on bombs are easy Chatting is easy

    Just what it says. The app won’t stay on the map screen and I can’t give Ride Ons there for the brief time it does.

  • Unsynced with Zwift

    When following riders (and myself) while on a ride, unlike the Zwift app, it doesn’t keep you in the middle of the list. Especially if you’re riding a robo ride. You could be pushed off the screen all together. Then you have to scroll up find yourself again. Also, there’s almost a 10 second delay to the actual Zwift activity. If you are on a group ride, it is at times difficult to give people a “ride on” in companion, because the person is no longer near you. You need to go searching for the person.

    I love using Companion app on my iPhone with it mounted on my bars as I ride. I use it to chat and to use my power ups and take pics. Works great all the time and it supplies me with more than enough data. The dashboard is nice and using the steering is a game changer.

    Getting my companionapp to connect is a hit & miss. I have followed all guidelines, sometimes it works, and others times it will not connect…. It’s great tool to have when it’s working correctly, especially in a group ride, and I want to chat with a follow zwifter.

  • Still missing key functionality

    Good app overall but there are still missing pieces that should have been a part of V1. For example, there is no way to just end a workout. You can pause it, but you lose the ability to see your power on the main device
