It lets you limit internet access, block content, manage calls, texts, and data, and with Premium, you can monitor your children’s whereabouts in real time on one map as well as encourage safe driving habits. Download our Parent app to your iPhone and pair your child’s smartphone: • Monitor screen time • Filter apps and website content • Block internet access • Review device usage • Manage calls, texts, and data Select Premium to unlock: • Live family member location monitoring • Arrival and departure notifications • Location sharing with pickup requests • Driving insights such as safe driver score and drive activity history • Crash detection alerts *After the 30-Day trial period, your Smart Family Premium service will auto-renew at $9.99/mo unless you cancel before the trial period ends. Cancel anytime through the Smart Family app. +++ Once the child’s smartphone is paired via the Verizon Smart Family companion app, the parent app can configure parental controls (iPads aren’t currently supported). If enrolled in Premium, the parent app can also monitor location and driving history – for either a driver or a passenger. Smart Family account can be used to manage all compatible devices on the same Verizon Wireless account. Companion app must be downloaded on family’s devices for location, content filters, pause internet, Driving Insights, and web & app activity. Smart Family does not control calls and texts made through third-party messaging and calling apps. Crash detection feature will not detect all crashes and will not contact emergency services.

    I don’t know how many times I’ve had to log in to this app, even after I tell it to remember me.

    The app doesn’t always work. It doesn’t sync easily with the other phone. It stops working. The app only allows 20 blocked numbers, really, with all the spam callers, only 20. Even with managing the 20 block numbers it’ll stop blocking those numbers. Nuclear room for an extra one and it won’t block it. And, add in that I have to verify the app EVERY SINGLE MONTH ir you can’t use it is annoying!

    I thought I could “trust” me teen but pure pressure got the best of him and he made unwise decisions. Long story short he fell victim to a sexual extortion scam. Be smart protect your kids take control and that starts by blocking social media from their devices. No child under 18 needs social media.

    Like most people trying to use this app, I want to track my child- for safety concerns as he rides public transportation. Sometimes I can literally watch his bus travel around town. But more often than not, this app does not work or, more horribly, it signs me out and I can’t sign back in - on this app or even with my general Verizon app. What are you even doing Verizon?! You are going to tell me to contact you - I would love to do that, however, I CANNOT EVEN SIGN IN TO CHAT TO GET HELP- IT JUST SPINS AND THEN TIMES OUT

    Overall the app is fine. When it works, it’s great. However, I’ve been finding out that it frequently disconnects. I use it as a divorced parent, so when my child is with his dad it can be difficult to get them to reconnect the phone. Lately it’s been happening a couple times a week. Kind of defeats the purpose. Been using it for 8-9 months now and it seems to be getting worse.

    Your child can delete the app and at that point you have no idea what’s going on. Teens these days can be sneaky. They can redownload it at any point as well. If they made it to where you couldn’t delete the app from child phone then it’d be perfect especially since we pay monthly! Considering canceling!

    *UPDATE* THIS ISSUE HAS NOT BEEN RESOLVED!!!!! I still do not get notifications when the vpn is turned off or the app has been deleted. Also this app could use a overall redesign that has parents in mind instead of the kids. I’ve contemplated switching to another monitoring app that has better controls and no work around. Not being able to control the vpn toggle is a HUGE problem. What’s the point of having the VPN on my kids phone when they are able to turn it off which then allows them to by pass the things I have blocked. This is a SERIOUS issue. Especially when I as the parent don’t get notifications that it’s been turned off. I use to but since the update I don’t anymore. PLEASE fix this to make the VPN toggle password protected or something! I pay too much money each month for this app for it to have work around.

    Would give it 0 stars. I made changes and even deleted the app and my son cannot use his phone at all. Unacceptable

    I can’t even log into my family app I go to log in and it says sending pin and never sends anything I have opened up 3 tickets or so and no one has gotten back to me this is so aggrivating !!!!!
