  • Can not hear pillow sleep sounds

    By Joshua, Texas
Just purchased... for sleep sounds. However did send concern. Will request refund if can not be resolved... hope so. I really like it.
  • The pay version

Reading everything I can find on how to get the Pillow to even halfway get it to sense or register my sleep and actually work. It appears to be the most useless sleep app I’ve ever purchased. Even the free download is worthless in accurately tracking sleep!
  • Used to love it, but it’s changed

    By Daily reader 43
For over a year this was my go to sleep app and morning alarm. And yes, this was the paid version. I had it rated at four stars then. Then one day, a couple weeks ago, it quit working. There was a line drawn through the alarm icon and it wouldn’t let me click on it and see what was going on. Finally, in frustration, I deleted it and reinstalled it, losing all that data. And ever since then it hasn’t worked right. It doesn’t remember the alarm sound I set for it, and when I wake up and reach for the phone, it’s very, alarmingly, hot, and only cools down after I turn off the pillow app. So, I took away a star. It’s not as dependable as it used to be. I don’t know what has changed, but if it doesn’t change back soon, I’ll have to look for another app. I don’t relish sleeping next to a dangerously hot phone, especially during the summer.
  • Not impressed

Not accurate at all for me. Was really hoping to be able to use this app. Definitely missing my Fitbit for this reason.

    Is great
  • Meh

Does the sleep thing fairly well, though I wouldn't bet my life on its sleep-awake-REM results. Cheerful colors but sloppy execution. Turned off notes months ago, but they still show up, wildly Inaccurate. Connection with Apple Watch occasionally conks out, readings for beginning of week don't show, time that I went to bed graph has fallen asleep, and the app stopped outputting sleep info to linked app this morning. If there are better low-cost options out there, I'm listening.
  • Heart rate numbers in correlation to sleep quality

    By donearlw
I really like the app, but the view showing the relation of sleep quality to heart rate doesn’t make sense. The heart rate looks like a random number that peaks at around 80 and goes down to about 40. I wear my Apple Watch at night. The corresponding heart rates in the health app never get as high as 80 and usually don’t reach 60 during my sleep time even in the awake intervals. My resting average is either in the 40s (usually) or low 50s. My series 4 watch agrees well with my Omron BP unit as well as other checks. How is the pulse rate generated for the plot. The support page for pillow doesn’t shed any light on this.
  • Don’t get!! Waste of money!!

    By JR1687
This app doesn’t work, I have it to track automatically and I gave it two chances and neither worked, I even payed the $5 for the premium. Unless I’m doing something wrong but I don’t think so, I have both the iPhone and Apple Watch to track my sleep automatically and it’s still not working. Before anyone says anything, It also has all the permissions it needs to work.
  • Doesn’t detect I’m awake even when I’m walking to the bathroom

    By PeanutinGJ
Bummed with this app. Sad I paid for it because it doesn’t even register that I’m awake walking around the house (wearing the Apple Watch). Says I’m asleep all night long. Sleep cycle is a lot more accurate and you don’t have to wear your watch to bed.
  • I don’t understand all the positive reviews?!

    By Dezsell
I have been using the premium version of Pillow for weeks, with my phone and Apple Watch using manual mode. It is terrible at knowing when I’m awake. It tells me I slept all night, every night, even when I wake up to use the restroom in the middle of the night. If I use the feature which allows me to re-analyze my sleep session to look for more awake time, it just adds more light sleep and still never picks up the fact that I was actually up walking around, wide awake in the middle of the night. It also has had hiccups twice this week in syncing my watches data with my phone so there are two nights for which my phone never got the data from my watch. My optimal sleep time jumps from 9:45 to midnight and back. (Again, I have only been using this app for a couple of weeks so this seems like a terrible algorithm.) And all of this is especially weird considering I have very regular sleep patterns. I go to sleep and wake up around the same time every day, sleep a solid 8 hours per night, (in bed about 8.5), and rarely get up or even wake up in the middle of the night - like maybe once per week. I’m going to switch to automatic mode for a while and see how we do but I wish I didn’t spend money on this.
