  • Great app, but…

    I really like this app. I I have it grouped with all my other creative apps. I use it as a creative tool. I think the sounds of the old typewriters take me back to younger days and allow me to access a the creativity of youth. However, I’m having an issue accessing the other typewriters which I bought years ago. The restore purchases does not work.i probably wouldn’t care that much but without the upgrade the amount of pages I can create is limited to 3, or some other very small number. I’ve written to the people who made this app numerous times with no response. Maybe they shelved this one. So I thought I might have a better chance of airing my complaint here in hopes one of the people involved in the making of this app might read it here and be able to help me out. And if you are one of those people reading this please don’t ask me to reach out to the team unless you have updated contact info. My email is attached to my receipt from buying the upgrade.     I love it. There is something very satisfying about typing on a typewriter. It’s weirdly delightful and immediately transported me back to my middle school days of learning to type on an electric typewriter.

  • Bluetooth Keyboard Tweak

    I enjoy this app, but I have one tweak I’d recommend to the app developers: I have a Bluetooth keyboard so I can do capital letters and indents and whatnot. But, for some unknown reason, the page disappears and I can’t see what I’m writing whenever I start typing with my Bluetooth keyboard. If this could be fixed in an update then it would be FIVE stars!!

    It crashes occasionally on my iPad, but never loses data. Tons of fun, thank you Tom Hanks for sharing your passion for typewriters in this clever, artistic manner. Can’t wait for a few more new typewriters to add and play with, I have them all and it’s never enough, perhaps like with any collection.

  • The app keeps crashing

    I used this app on my iPhone in the past and loved it but unfortunately as of Feb. 2024 it is unusable on my iPad. It stays open for a few minutes and then crashes on me. I updated the app and restarted my iPad but it didn’t help.

  • It’s Worth it

    When i first got the app. I had the free vision for a few months. Brought the 10 dollar package. It’s well worth it for me. Wont have to by an actual typewriter. I brought a Bluetooth keep board. The app is worth it. Check out. It do crash here and there. You’ll lose a few words thats all.

    This is a great typewriter app, I just wished it didnt crash so much. Also if it had a full screen mode would really make it stellar. I still really enjoy.

  • kinda buggy, but works good

    The out-of-app keyboard is prone to weirdness, like taking over the entire screen instead of just staying by the bottom. the app also crashes sometimes. Thankfully, the app autosaves when it crashes, and it doesn't crash that often. It can still be a bit disruptive when you're really "in the flow" of whatever you're writing, though. Aside from that, it's just a fun little app. All the little typing noises are satisfying and I love the variety in different typewriters you can use. If the bugs are fixed this would be perfect!

  • Update after having this app for so long

    This app was my favorite for so long. But lately, it crashes. There is no buffer for characters typed between paper changing animation. And once the paper is changed (e.g. next page; page break)- you can’t go back to see what was typed on the last page without losing the normal behavior of the keyboard and page progression. So, hopefully you will never type anything longer than that page, or remember the context of the word you tried to type before hitting enter. Honestly, it seems like only the bare minimum is being done to keep this app in the Apple App Store.
