It keeps me focused so well omg and I love it so much the only complaint is that it should be a little easier to get coins bec 10 for 30 minutes isn't a lot especially since everything costs 500 coins and to plant a real tree is like 2,000 so maybe like double (or triple) the amount of coins we get. Also being able to add minutes while the timer is three is already growing would be great !! pleasee

Use it everyday at work and it really helps me stay away from my phone.
  • Positive reinforcement to stay productive

It’s proven science that positive reinforcement is the best way to develop a habit. I’ve been using this app for several months, more actively this last couple of months to write my thesis, and I’m now in the habit of using it every day to stay productive and it works. You’d think that “killing” your virtual trees would not be enough incentive to not play with your phone, but it is!

I've been using this app for a few months now, and it's definitely helped me get work done. Even though I don't go on my phone that often, it's a good reminder to stay focused on the task at hand. If I do feel like going on my phone and need to work, I'll just open this app and set an allotted time to stay off my phone. I highly recommend this app to anyone who is serious about getting work done, so that the motive to keep your tree alive accompanies the desire to get stuff done. Even if you lack self discipline, I think it's worth a shot. I really like the assortment of trees, so you can set goals to get new trees or get enough coins to plant a tree in real life. Great app!

After getting this app, my phone usage has declined significantly and I have more time to pursue other aspirations.

I use it to stay focused when I have tasks to do. I'm waiting to save up more coins so I can buy different species of plants that can then correlate with the different types of tasks that I'm doing. For example: type A tree for studying. Type B tree for relaxing. Etc.

I love fun productivity apps, and I’ve been in a bit of a rut in terms of focusing lately. This app was exactly what I needed; I’m weirdly super motivated by arbitrary rewards for good habits (e.g. Fitbit, Plant Nanny water tracker, etc). If you’re the same way you’ll love it! I’m hoping that one day the developers are able to create a whitelist feature so I can read in my Kindle app, though I know the FAQ says this may be impossible in iOS. Can’t wait to check out the extension!

I was skeptical that growing a pixelated tree would actually help me, but it really does. This actually works really well with DEEP WORK by Cal Newport; I just finished his book and this is helping having a little incentive to not turn on my phone. This has been the best use of $2 for me in a long time.
  • Really beautiful app

So helpful and useful! I love all the additions -- it's clear that they work very hard on this app. There are tons of new trees and features that have been added since I first checked it out. (I hope that someday we will be able to buy different types of ground, too -- can you imagine having a sandy beach under your palm trees? Cute!) Keep up the great work!!!
