  • I upgraded from Filebrowser to FB pro, totally worth it

I was very happy using Filebrowser with a paid subscription. I noticed that FileBrowser Pro offered me the ability to locally sync files to my iPhone and iPad so that would have access, even if it didn't have a network connection. I decided to upgrade for nominal fee. You can set up a full synchronization, or use it as a back up. It works flawlessly and it's fast. I then noticed the additional capability of writing custom scripts that can do a wide variety of tasks. These can be scheduled or you can run them manually. A couple of examples are provided. No programming language required. You simply pick which files and folders you want action taken on, select from the various actions, and it's done. You can do this across multiple clouds. The Pro version also offers quite a few more connectivity options than the standard product. I have to say one of the things that impresses me the most about stratospherix, the company that makes these products, is their support. If I report a bug, I almost always get a response within 24 hours. If there is a workaround, they will provide it. The fixes usually come out with additional enhancements on a regular basis. If you need an app that allows you to comprehensively manage files and folders, while never having to leave that app, you definitely want FileBrowser Pro. From my experience as a retired IT pro, it really is a best in class product for iOS.
  • Recent update totally ruined the copy and paste

The most recent update totally ruined the copy and paste on FileBrowser Pro. I have paid Pro version on iPadOS 17.4.1., when I went to the destination folder after selected and copied several files from original folder, instead of seeing paste the files in here, I kept seeing Select and nothing copied. I had to keep copying and copying. The copy and paste is broken. Copying multiple files in the FileBrowser is a pain process. You have to manually tap every single file, instead of sliding through and selecting them. This only makes the broken copy and paste more annoying.
  • Website lied. Does NOT load raw nef files

Literally the only reason I bought this was so I can more efficiently go through and organize and delete Raw pictures from my photography stored in the nef file type. The website state that this format was supported. It is NOT. will be requesting a refund from apple directly as I doubt a developer who so blatantly lied will honor a refund request.

The iPad is no computer but with FB Pro I can actually get some work done
  • It’s okay

Would be perfect if you could queue folders for music. Having to manually queue individual songs is tedious. Until then it’s 2 stars.

Could never make it work. Spent days trying and let a long time before I tried wasting my time again because I saw the shiny reviews and thought I was doing something wrong. Turns out that 'Socket error 54" is just one of those life mysteries. Tried to get a refund but I guess that there's a time limit.

Pro tip! Use this app to sync my pictures from my phone to my local NAS server. Never pay apple cloud anymore.
  • Sync does not work with SMB

Continually get “ needs login in the app” even though I’m using the established SMB connection which was created AND LOGGED IN previously within the app. Sync is basically useless until this is fixed.
  • Amazing app.

The ability to loop a section of a video you’re watching would be fantastic. The ability to read documents from Libre Office would be nice as well. Still, I give it five stars.
