I have so far downloaded and printed one piece of music. However this app made the operation easy and flawless. I am looking forward to more!

  • I love this, but

I use this app to get a lot of my sheet music for cello practice. It’s normally very simple to use, but it keeps signing me out of my account. I hope that it’s just a simple fix and it won’t stop me from using the app.
  • Bug Ridden

It’s funny how an update can be a disprovement. With each update comes a new bug. Sometimes the bugs aren’t as bad but it’s still ridiculous how the app was perfectly fine before but since that huge update a few months ago it’s been ridiculous how many bugs there are, and when one’s fixed, another pops up. I love MuseScore and sometimes I like listening to other people’s scores on the go, but it seems like I can’t without being annoyed out of using the app. Please fix.
  • New update is awful!

I paid for this app when I first got it. Okay, I was fine with that. My money, even though the website was free, would go to downloading music to my phone or ipad to use on the go. Now, I have to pay MORE on a subscription (that costs more than my student Spotify account!) for access to my own music, which I already paid for in the app. I arrange my music on PC, store it in Dropbox and when I try to open it in MuseScore, now after 2 years of use it won’t let me without a pro account. On top of this, the app deleted the music I already had downloaded. Ridiculous.

I am reviewing to see if I want to go pro. So far nothing but problems. 20 min to log in and pull the music I need. Not worth the hassle.

  • If it ain’t broke don’t fix it...

By Get the @#$&* out of here!
This app was great until they decided to update it! To start with the 300+ songs I had on my iPad disappeared minutes before a live performance. To restore them from the writing program took a tremendous amount of time a effort. I still haven’t restored all. Some of my work over the past several years has been completely lost. The app was easy to use and intuitive before the update. Now it is cumbersome and has too many issues to list. I used it for free but would have been glad to pay for it had it remained the same. Now using it is frustrating as hell!

This app is absolutely terrible. Half of the time I searched for music it would say “no scores found,” then, they claimed to fix it, but all it does now is say “no scores found” and then ask me to sign out and back in due to a network disconnection. The app lags terribly after a few minutes of using it and sometimes if you search more than one keyword it won’t let you view any scores. It’s hard to search for “Song of the Caged Bird” with only one keyword, alright. Oh and to top it off, they added ads that are difficult to close before you open a score. Yeah. This app is so awful and difficult to use, but really, it’s the only app that has free sheet music available, so I think I’ll continue to use it, hoping that they’ll go back to their original design. I would recommend creating an account and using their website on your computer. That way you don’t get pop-up ads and you can print music out. Edit: I take back everything good I ever said about this company. The website is glitchy, usable, but glitchy, and honestly, I would rather pay $3.99 on MusicNotes for a piece than deal with their website. The customer service is awful; I purchased a free trial monthly for their pro subscription, and two weeks into it, it suddenly disappears and then two weeks after that they charged me $50 for a annual subscription. I wrote customer service, explaining what happened, and all I received was a rude response along with an advert. 🤦🏻‍♀️ I would give every single aspect of this app 0 stars if that were possible.
