  • Case Insensitive File System Required

Edit: It's 2019, and OneDrive on OSX is still a useless app unless you're willing to reformat your drive to a case insensitive format. This is 2017. MS needs to figure out how to get used to a case sensitive file system. Useless until then.
  • High CPU usage

Shocking news: this Microsoft product will make your Mac hum. As if it was going to take off! I've had a Mac, and OneDrive for 4 years now, and it's the only software that really hogs the CPU, even though it *has nothing to do*! Onedrive in itself is amazing, but this piece of garbage renders it useless, almost dangerous (because you *think* that all your files are backed up, but no... you disabled it a few weeks ago because you don't want your Mac to sound like a vacuum cleaner).
  • It logs in 1 in 10 times only.

As a macOS user the promise of OneDrive has under-delivered. I have deleted and re-downloaded at least a dozen times after the "can't open onedrive" message. It doesn't look like Microsoft can get this foray into offering their services to the mac base right.
  • Like the App - please add…...

Been using OneDrive since v1. Also used Groove way back in the day of MS’s on audio player Zune device. So now that everything is headed to this one place. Please “update” the audio player features of OneDrive. Adding the groove like function would be nice. Specifically a playlist option would be useful instead of having to pick each flle one after the other. I use OneDrive to storage and share some audio production file for review and approval with a team of folks so, a playlist would be useful for mobility ease of use sake. I don’t expect OneDrive’s player to be a full fledged audio library and management app - not saying that. Just need a few more basics thats all. Love everything else.
  • Energy Management for Mac Book Air/ No El Capitan Support

I am now seeing One Drive use much of the processor resources on my laptop. It is causing the lap top to run the temperatures up and the fan speed up to exhaust the heat. Quiting One Drive is my option to cool my macbook air down. I hope Microsoft reads these reviews and thinks about managing energy and heat usage of lap tops. **** Update This used to work with El Capitan OSX 10.11 but no more. If you are on a 2009 Mac Pro or other computer needing to use El Capitan, One drive no longer syncs. It just sits there and says it is synching but it is not. Find a different cloud storage provider that supports more versions of MAC OS X.

This review is specific to the OSX app, but it works seamlessly across other OS's for me (W10, Ubuntu, mobile). I read a bunch of the 1 and 2 star reviews and have simply not had any of the negative experiences reported there. It was wonky back in the days when it was SkyDrive, but MS has made steady improvments to this app and it has never failed me.
  • Works reliably. Needs modernization of visuals with the rest of Office Mac.

OneDrive is my primary file sync/share service for both personal content and at work. We're an Office 365 shop and I am a frequent user of both Windows and Mac devices, so this is the "universal bridge between my worlds. While OneDrive syncs reliably and with good stability in both personal and OneDrive for Business scenarios, I wish they'd update the app itself to get with the new Office UI standards (Windows has already done this) and fix the app and folder icons to support things like Dark Mode in Mojave properly. The tray icons work great in both modes but folders remain "Light" in Dark Mode and it makes everything messy to the point where I dont want to use Dark mode for this sole reason. Also the new "Fluent 2.0" Office icons need to be shown now - Everyone else is there.
  • why did you remove files on demand

you broke the app by removing the most important feature which is , freeing up space and removing the "file on demand" feature, bad bad update please bring that feature back
