Description

BrainPOP ELL™ is a comprehensive English language learning program that uses highly engaging animated movies to model conversational English. The movies and related features are leveled, building upon each other to reinforce vocabulary and usage. New concepts are presented within everyday situations, helping to provide context. BrainPOP ELL's structure enables students to master the language in a step-by-step process, giving them the confidence they need to read and speak English. The app offers 18 free lessons across all skill levels, and the following upgrades are available via in-app purchase: Level 1: Includes all 30 beginner lessons, designed for those with little or no prior English. Level 2: Includes all 30 intermediate lessons, for those with a growing understanding of English. Level 3: Includes all 30 advanced lessons, for those who have some mastery of English. Full Access: Includes all 90 BrainPOP ESL lessons, including beginner, intermediate, and advanced. BrainPOP ELL site subscribers can log in directly from the app at no additional cost. • I use this every day for ESL classes for young learners

Are use this app so often that it has become a signature of mine when teaching ESL classes. Students really enjoy the visual imagery and also the level of vocabulary and reading comprehension that they have garnered from the exercises within this app. Best part about it, is that it’s a one time fee and no subsequent subscription fees. I highly recommend anyone who teaches English as a second language to pre-primary school kids, to get this app. Note: as of April 15, 2021, the app does not work with the current iOS. Here’s looking forward to a new update from the developers very soon.

I made the payment of the Brainpop ELL application with an apple prepaired card. I bought all the levels. The application was accidentally deleted from the iped. now all levels of Brainpop ELL are locked in my Iped. I was using the application without username and password. I pressed the Restore button but the problem was not solved. I emailed to company of Brainpop ELL 3 times, but they did not solve my problem. I don't want to pay about 50 USD again.

This is a great app to use in the classroom. The kids love Moby and Ben. But it would be much better if the videos could be downloaded
  • No Offline Mode!!!

Useless without being able to watch videos offline. That's it.
  • Great except when embarrassing me in class

What a great premise and concept. I'm an English teacher and I thought I'd introduce the app to two private students. Apparently I should have tested it more completely, as only about half of a lesson sections worked properly. Most unusable were the audio recording portions where students can listen to some phrases, then repeat and record them and have their voices implemented immediately into a story (at least something like this, it was about two months ago).
  • Trying hard, but not really succeeding

The app ran very slowly on my iPad, and I found it was pretty inefficient as a means to learn English. I tried the present progressive practice section and it had little in the way of practice of the grammar structure (s bev ving ). It would certainly be a slow and gap-filled way to learn this subject area.
