Also. Why does this app use so much data in a backup 21 gigs ?? Arent th pics taken just backed up in camera roll with the others ? Very confusing. My response is. I have no videos taken with this app. Not one. Why is it taking up 21 gigs of backup storage. Thats half my icloud allowance.
  • Not worry $9.99

Played around with it for about 10 mins. Interface is cluttered. It’s hard to shift to different adjustments, especially if you have somewhat fat fingers like me. I can press to select an adjustment 10 times before it finally moves to it. In-app editing features are suboptimal. It seem to have no simple manual control of aperture, shutter speed and ISO like what I had hoped. I took 2 selfies, one in this and one in the apple app, edited them in each app and the Apple photo was all around significantly better, other than you can adjust zoom in this app to get a less lens distorted selfie. You get some useless extra grids to overlay beyond the standard and some long exposure features. The long exposure features are about the only interesting thing and I don’t shoot those enough to make it worth $9.99. I’d skip it though at least it is not a subscription like my previous camera app went to.

I don't leave reviews so all I want to say is it totally transforms your iPhones camera to a much higher level both functionally and performance wise. Best thing about it - takes a picture in the true HDTV aspect ratio of 16:9, right there=SOLD All of this for free? Surely I'm dreaming. You haven't used your iPhones camera until you've used the ProCam app. Just got new phone and lost all apps, ProCam was one of the first "must have" apps I installed. One of the few apps that truly make the feature a better one and with no ill side effects. Few will want or need anything more. Ok that's it! Thanks. *********UPDATE******** ** 3/14/17 ** The new icon gets a neg from me too- I don't really care but I thought the app disappeared. The old icon looked professional. This looks trashy. Why not put a unicorn flying out of the middle?😁 I read other reviews here saying its to look like Instagraham. I have no use for that or twatter or fakebook. - all of those programs are a curse on humankind. (misspelled on purpose) *****UPDATE - 11/17/2017***** Still loving this app although someone informed me it isn’t free, so somewhere along the line I decided it was worth paying for and ever since I still use it. I can’t tell you the techno-jargon that an Aaron Anderson might know, but I stand by my original impression all these years later. It makes the iPhone as close to a fully functional digital SLR camera as you’re going to get. I tip my hat to Mr Anderson, I’m not lampooning him. If it can attract someone with that level of photography knowledge, they must be doing something right. I have the iPhoneX and the update to Apple’s camera app is still lightyears behind a this. One of the few apps worth paying for. Why not offer Mr Anderson a job? 😁 ****UPDATE 10-2-2022 ***** Still loving it and can’t wait to see how it works with the 14 Pro. Though I’d still be happy with the results I get on my old iPhone X. It’s just advanced enough to wow a novice but not so full of techno jargon as to turn you off to the idea of looking a little further into the possibilities it possesses. Will give another update when I get my 14 Pro!
  • Horrible.

This app IS NOT worth any money. I compared it to a free app and asked people which side is better, and they pointed to the photo taken with this app and said, “why is it so blurry? It looks horrible.” I thought maybe it’ll be better outside and nope, just as bad. I wish for a refund.
  • Very well designed

The underlying capabilities of the camera is dictated by Apple’s API, so every app creator has access to the same functionality. What sets them apart is the user interface, and this creator has the best IMO. It’s elegantly designed, so it’s great to use. That said, I would like to see some deeper documentation. For instance, what interpolation process is being used for software zooming? The SMRT selection means what exactly? What level of compression is being used by JPEG and HEIC processes? You get the idea… Very good work!
  • Nice!!

I’m impressed how this app pushes iPhone to shoot 4K at 60 fps unlike the default camera which is 30.

So much control over how you shoot photos and video. And it is just really superior to the standard camera app. Worth getting.
  • No external mic support?

This app really needs the ability to use an external microphone
