The app gives you the power to create new sounds by designing your own dream amplifier, letting you swap out tubes, preamps, power amps, transformers, tone stacks, cab, and microphones, all via a powerful and intuitive interface designed for your iPad. Whether you’re a classic rocker, metalhead, jazz player, bluesman or singer-songwriter - and whether you understand how amplifier electronics work or not - you’ll be dialing in killer and exclusive tones in a heartbeat. BIAS AMP 2 Mobile adds a host of new features, including a powerful new user interface, new preamp and power amp modules, tubes, tone stacks, Blues and Bass amp packs, new Dynamic Tone Control, new speaker cabinet module with multi-mic capability and open/closed back cabinet emulation and much more. In addition to all of these amazing new features, we’ve also partnered with legendary Celestion to create brand new custom multi-mic speaker cabs using their famed impulse responses! (Additional preamp, power amp and cab models are available via in-app purchase) BIAS AMP 2 Mobile seamlessly integrates with Positive Grid’s ToneCloud®, which is far more than a simple storage tank for your own custom tones - it’s an active community where thousands of guitarists upload, share and discuss tones. The ToneCloud® gives you access to thousands of custom amps created by artists, recording studios and guitarists like you, so you’ll never lack for sonic inspiration. To take your tones to the next level, there are 9 full-featured reverbs in BIAS AMP 2 Mobile. These aren’t just simple two-knob reverbs either - they range from lush halls and chambers to intimate rooms, and each reverb has control of decay time, mix level, high and low cut filters, damping and dwell. BIAS AMP 2 Mobile integrates seamlessly with Positive Grid's BIAS FX and JamUp guitar multi-effects apps for iPad, expanding BIAS AMP 2 Mobile into a powerful and completely unified professional guitar system for live use, recording and jamming. Both JamUp and JamUp Pro include effects processors, Jam player, 8-track recorder and phrase sampler, tuner and metronome, effectively turning BIAS AMP 2 Mobile into a recording studio and top-of-the-line practice utility. BIAS AMP 2 Mobile also works with GarageBand and other audio apps using iOS’s Inter-App Audio and Audiobus. • This is a fun app with Jam Up Pro

Prefer the Jam Up Pro and this app over the newer offerings. Better sound, easy to see/use, and the amp details allow me to get the sound I am looking for.

I’m on iPad Pro with an Irig and latest iOS version. No sound comes out of my audio interface. I’ve followed all troubleshooting.
  • Supposed to be universal compatible but not

Bought this for my iPad thinking once I buy it it would work with my iPhone to but doesn’t and have tried multiple times to get support but no response. It clearly says that it’s universal compatible but not with my iPhone 14 Pro Max keeps saying to purchase again from App Store even though I already did on my iPad Air.
  • Needs AU for use with Logic

The amp models sound nice, but are nearly useless for what I need on this device. It would be awesome to be able to use this app as a plug-in in Logic Pro.
  • Nice Amp Building App

Nice integration with Bias FX2, but needs update for iPad Pro 11”. UI looks great, but does not fit the screen properly. 4 or 5 starts if this is fixed.
  • iOS 16.5.1, iOS 16.6 distorted feedback

On my one device that has iOS 16.5 I have no issues with the app, but on my other iOS 16.5.1 and iOS 16.6 devices the audio comes out with this digital distorted with some feedback sometimes. It's also affecting ampkit+ so I assume it just needs an update since the latest OS version broke something on these apps.
  • Sooooooooo out of touch

Ok…so it sounds good and has nice features….except the one that matters most to me….auv3 support. Tbh I barely even use this anymore since we have amp sim developers who understand the IPad music production landscape now. And now that we have Logic Pro for the IPad , Bias Amps is REALLY obsolete. You guys are still working on updating iaa, really….how out of touch is that??????? 😂😂😂 This would be an instant 5 star app for me if it were an audio unit…I’ve literally bought every in app purchase for this and Bias fx and barely use either because I don’t use iaa….this can’t even be used with Logic Pro for IPad…..how smart is that????
  • Issues with iOS 16

As was mentioned in the last review, Bias 2 is an amazing app, and I like its tones and functionality more than any other app I’ve used. And it’s integration with the Bias amps makes for a completely unique system, and the Bias Mini is my favorite hardware amp now. Except Bias 2 does not work as an IAA plug-in with any app I’ve used (Cubasis 3, AUM), and will no longer operate with the Bias Mini amp, with iOS 16. It all worked fine before iOS 16. I really hope PG fixes this soon, as it is basically useless to me now.

Update 2023: Unfortunately this app no longer works on my iPad since operating to iOS 16. Customer support said they were opening an investigation, but I have not heard back since. The app still opens and functions properly, but it won’t integrate with GarageBand or Auria, so I can’t use it for recording, just practicing along with songs. Way way better than Line 6 for line in recording, though I haven’t tried out any of the Helix stuff. Right out of the box, the Marshall, Fender, and Orange amp sims sound really good, and I’ve owned a Fender Deluxe Reverb and an Orange Rockerverb and done recordings in professional studios with them. The mic placement setting works great too, which is pretty mind blowing since it tends not to work on other gear I’ve owned, and actually sounds like what would happen in real life. If you buy the full version, you can move the mic further away which allows you to really dial in the tone you want. I can’t say enough good things about this app; out of 5 stars, it deserves 10.
