Description

From 4 to 12 years. The aim of this application is to improve the impairment of cognitive impairments in children with ADHD, such as attention, perceptual reasoning, inhibition, calculation, and verbal fluency. According to research conducted in ADHD, regular cognitive training can improve core symptoms of ADHD. The Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) Trainer is a cognitive training application designed for children with ADHD. The ADHD Trainer is adapted from another cognitive training technique; The TCT Method (Tajima Cognitive Training), which was developed by Dr. Kazuhiro Tajima-Pozo, an expert psychiatrist in the diagnosis and treatment of ADHD. The TCT Method is a daily cognitive training therapy that entails multiple cognitive tasks. The TCT Method trains cognitive areas such as attention, memory, calculation, reasoning, and visuomotor coordination. The poor completion rate of cognitive training therapies presents a major hurdle to treat cognitive deficits in children with ADHD. Children with ADHD often evidence a lack of motivation, as exhibited through avoidance of tasks requiring mental effort. Unlike many other cognitive training therapies, The TCT Method attempts to "entertain," while challenging cognitive training is performed, creating an optimal level of motivation for children with ADHD. The TCT Method of cognitive training entails children to play “games” for 70 minutes per week or 280 minutes per month. Dr. Kazuhiro Tajima-Pozo is a childhood and adolescent psychiatrist, and expert in ADHD disorders. He completed his academic training at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York, New York. Dr. Tajima-Pozo has received several awards for his research in ADHD.

I paid $5 for this and game keeps shutting down just after a few seconds of playing. It looks fun but my daughter can't get very far which is very frustrating for a adhd kid that we are trying to help!!! Please make improvements!

The signing in is such a hassle. Also the games are poor quality. There are other games that do the same thing for free.

I have used this app successfully for quite some time. Now it will not open on any of my iPads for weeks now. I have reached out for assistance and heard nothing back.

This has been a fantastic app, and great training tool. There are so many exercises, and each one has had a wonderful amount of detail added to them, they really engage my child, (and myself, stuck at jury call last week.) We have kept this in our schedule and it’s been easy to do so. The calendar feature and training sessions have been helpful, and easy to understand. You really have to work on ADHD, and this program gives you results and hope.

This app is incredible! I have a 5 year old son who gets distracted easily and this app helps him focus more on the tasks in the game. It's packed with helpful games and tools that the child can learn. The game graphics are fun and goofy, keeping the child focus while having fun. Any child that suffers from ADHD should try this app out.

This app has been a great resource for my nephew who suffers from ADHD. Initially his parents struggled with finding engaging outlets and training methods that would keep him focused, but when I suggested this app they have had little to no issues. The results have been noticeable and he truly is benefiting from its use.

I have a nephew who I adore very much however it’s quite apparent to everyone that meets him that he suffers from ADHD. He likes to have all the attention on him and he gets easily distracted by anything that is happening around him. He also tends to have a very short attention span and doesn’t like to sit in one place for very long. For all of us this was somewhat difficult so we looked for a way to help him. This app was definitely a great choice because it actually helps him to focus better and to sit still for a little longer each time. He enjoys the game which definitely makes things even better because he wants to play and he’s actually learning at the same time. I love the graphics and I love how much it’s helping him.
