Not real happy with it, . Get notice someone at front door and you go to app it says video not ready. Also show from the day before.

What happens when a big company buys innovation. Ugh
  • Two apps should not be necessary to fully administer a nest thermostat.

It gets pretty confusing to figure out which app you need to do what. One app should do it all for a thermostat.
  • No network protection/curation for teens

If you were a parent of teenagers there's a high probability that you face the same challenge I do as a Parent: my kids pop open their computers say they're doing homework, don't turn in homework and deliver poor grades every quarter. They are endlessly distracted, surfing through YouTube reels and all manner of distractions across the Internet. Google offers no way for me, as a parent, to restrict what my children are doing on my network. There seem to be no add-ons and because the computers and question are owned by the school district, I cannot add an application of my own choosing to manage what they view. Seriously considering dumping Google Fiber because this is ruining educational opportunities for both of my kids.

I’m so disappointed and angry, because the google nest mini never finds the right song even though it is available on the the app I’m using to listen to music it just never finds the right song and it’s so annoying.
  • So Disappointed in Google

Love Google products as a whole; have so many devices in my smart home. But not sure if it’s the actual doorbell camera, or the app, but the connection between the two is trash. Half the time I open the app to view the live camera, or past videos, and they don’t load. The most important part of my smart home hardly works. Thinking about replacing all of my Google smart devices because the performance of the doorbell camera/app does not seem to be improving.

The “services” offered by google are few and the ones that they do offer are constantly not working properly. I’ve invested in maybe 1000$ worth of google products and the only one that works is my nest. Everything else is glitchy and problematic. And google representatives do little to support and then just tell you it’s a “known problem under review”. You would think one of the most powerful companies in the world could put together something less of an embarrassment. I’m switching to Apple HomeKit.

  • Have to factory reset to change wifi password

I have a Google mini speaker that is a few years old. Considering I got it for free under a Spotify promotion, I’m happy with it except for one issue: when I’ve changed my wifi password or the mini has problems connecting, there is no way to enter in my new wifi password in the app. I have to do a factory reset every single time. I search the help section and it tells me to go to Favorites then select wifi. That is not an option in my app. There are no devices listed under Favorites, and no option to select wifi from there. If I go to Devices and select my speaker, I can see the name of the network but when I click on it it just tells me that it isn’t connected. I’ve searched through the app extensively and there is no way to enter in a new wifi password except during the set up process after a factory reset. There needs to be a simple, straightforward option to select the wifi network and select change the password. This seems like a pretty big flaw in the design.
