  • Pop ups to play? Ruined a good game.

I use to love Hearthstone. Bought card packs, had friends. Now I can’t stand every-time I log in I have to click through four screens of useless stuff I never play. I don’t care to know my rank is a chicken, I don’t play professionally! I don’t care about what quests I’m working on, I just want to play a game with a friend. I want quests I’ll play Warcraft. And oh darn if I miss a chance to get one of the hundred card backs I have to win to make my life complete and make other players jealous. I’m done with this nonsense. Give me back my 3 gigs of iPhone space to run this CARD game!
  • Terrible matching engine

    By Cxdragon
Game is supposed to match you to similar opponents! Ha ha ha. Rare that I ever have a close fun match. Been playing since the beginning and today I deleted the app. Game has deteriorated to worst game I own. An embarrassment to Blizzard.

  • Great if you plan to spend at least $100 horrible otherwise

Amazing card game that suffers from bugs, end game staleness, scarcity of rare drops, and low crafting returns. I love the single player content and the way it’s easy to learn but still has depth to its plays which I want to rate it 5/5 for but it has just to many negatives. First of all let’s talk about the best decks money can buy, I was playing off against them on a regular basis with vanilla creatures at the start of the game (I couldn’t even access the tavern yet but apparently losing by turn 5 was okay). I spent money and tried to make a deck that seemed fun to play only to regret it as I started playing against the best decks even more often (if you get anything from this pls focus on making a top end deck as your first priority as nothing else matters). For as much money as this game generates you think bugs would be next to none but I’ve noticed quite a few. The upgrade mechanic, the if you played an elemental last turn mechanic, battlecry doesn’t always work if you bounce it back and recast, quest cards don’t always put the completed quest into you hand (those are just the common ones I’ve noticed). People seem to get angry when you say this game isn’t free to play but it really isn’t. I had to open about 100 packs before I could really make anything resembling a non-beginners deck (by no means high end or end game just not beginners). You on average can open 1 pack a day and enough gold to be halfway to the next pack so 1.5 a day. To achieve 1.5 packs a day you need a minimum of 30 wins and being a card game a match usually isn’t very fast so let’s say 4 minutes a match. Even if you have a 100% win rate you still need to play for 2 hours a day with a perfect match record and once you get the 30th win it locks you out of gold earning til the next day so you can’t open more. Now my win rate was around 40% when I started out (conceding to Cubelock and even Paladin so I didn’t count those) I would have to play for over 4 hours a day. Not to mention drops rates are so low at that rate you would pull a legendary (1 in every 15 to 20 packs) one time every 12 to 13 days. There are also bad legendaries so you might still want commons over some legendaries. I watched a little bit of the recent pro tour and in it each person brings 4 decks and competes with them. There was this one match where between the two competing players and both of their 4 decks they had a total of 4 different cards from each other. To not only have a mirror match in one but practically all 4 decks isn’t good. When all pro players are running a paladin, warlock, Druid as 3/4 picks that isn’t good either (although pally and lock had 2 different variations). That to me is staleness.
  • I love Blizzard but this game is designed to force you to pay for in app purchases

Money grabbing with in app purchases is real

    servers are broken
  • Not good, horrible community!

    By LookatNames
Horrible balancing/monetizing and an even worse community make just about any other CCG better than Hearthstone. Avoid this group of incels and try another game.
  • Great game but not optimized for iPhone X

    By Garglephlumpian
Was looking forward to getting back into the game with my new iPhone X and was shocked to see the game didn’t even fill the whole screen. Hope they fix this soon. With so much going on in game, the more screen space available, the better.
