  • Excellent

Easy & Intuitive, with lots of information available and customizable. A very worthy replacement for the excellent old Storm App the Weather Channel rebranded as Storm Radar which is now utterly terrible. Weather Mate is superior in every way.
  • Finally a weather that shows the the fronts!

Intellicast was my favorite weather up until it stopped being updated and working. Weathermate so far looks good.
  • Loving it so far

App is 1000 times better than all others IMO
  • I use this frequently

This is one of the few weather mapping apps I’ve run across with a “fronts” layer. In my area, the location of high and low pressure centers and the nature of the fronts they create are very helpful in understanding what weather changes to expect. The ads were annoying and delayed the opening of the map feature, but once I paid to remove them, the app has performed well. My only wish is that I could default the app to open on the map, but that’s really only a minor inconvenience.
  • Great customizable app!

Loads quick, easy to navigate. I’m a big fan of the customization options to display data you want, and hide data you don’t (example, I care more about moonrise than I do about barometer reading). I find the toggle between future/past radar a bit confusing (does the gray-out mean it’s inactive or not?), but not a big deal at all.
  • Best weather app since Intellicast and Storm

Actually it seems to offer much more data than other weather apps I’ve ever used which is awesome. Customization is decent. I decided to upgrade to Pro. Hoping the UI will get “modernized” sometime soon. Some parts still look like IOS 6 and old Android.

  • Do you really want my opinion? Hope so...

I have been using this app for awhile now and here’s what I think. I’m a detail person, so don’t think I’m giving you a bunch of useless info. I really hope this helps to improve this app in a couple areas, where needed. First, let me say, I’m really impressed with the app overall. I have been testing different weather apps ever since Weather Underground Storm was discontinued. UGH! I am in a suburb of Houston Texas. WU Storm was a big survival tool for me, my immediate family, extended family and friends, hiwho were using it also. That is the reason, the largest problem I have with Weather Mate is the radar. It is so unreliable, it is pretty much useless. WU Storm radar was great. If there was rain falling from one single cloud, down the street, I could look at WU Storm radar and see the same cloud. Rain clouds on WM have to be several miles wide, to show on the screen or they don’t show at all, even if the cloud coverage is large. Often, there are storm directional cone icons on the map and no rain visible on the map. Usually, the rain on the radar map shows to be heavier than it actually is. It will be red, when it’s a moderate rain outside. The WeatherMate radar is erratic or jumpy, when in motion. WUStorm had a small customizable panel of option icons, on the Home/Radar screen, that could be turned on/off in Settings. The panel had 4 or 5 interchangeable icons(ie. Temperature, lightening, wind, rain, fronts, tornado, etc.) tiles that could be changed by moving icons in an out of panel, whenever you wanted. I would like for WMate to have the option to show temperature numbers on the radar map, also. Not just colors. If that is possible now, I haven't found it. I want to search for weather in another city, without having to add it to my favorites. To have the option to add the city to Favorites. Otherwise, I have to go back and delete it. I also, would like the option to turn off notifications from cities in my Favorites. I had to turn off all notifications altogether, including my location, because I was getting warnings for every city in my Favorites list. Annoying. Hope I'm not annoying you. Just kidding. We really stay informed about the weather on a daily basis. Due to working outside and always wanting to know about severe weather. Especially, hurricanes like Harvey. Been through many hurricanes, growing up in Texas. I remember them all. from Carla to Alicia, then Harvey. Harvey was horrendous. Won't say anything else other than, I almost cried when I realized WeatherUnderground Storm was really going away. The app that replaced it is horrible. I felt there was a glimmer of hope when I finally found Weather Mate. Ok, that's it for now. Told you, I'm a detail person. Thanks!
  • Best weather app

I have had several weather apps and this is the best by far. Love the temperature on the icon and it's been more accurate with more information using less space than all of the others.
