Description

ScaleBank puts scales in your pocket. Major, minor, pentatonic. Play guitar better, design new riffs and practice anywhere. Includes acoustic and electric guitars, plus full support for left-handed players. Scroll up and down a full 24-fret fretboard, while you play crisp, clear audio samples of dozens of scales and patterns. Support for Major, Minor, Melodic Minor, Melodic Major, Whole Tone, Pentatonic Major, Hexatonic Blues (you might call it "Pentatonic Blues", or just "Blues", but there are six notes, so it's "Hexatonic"), Pentatonic Minor, major modes like Dorian, Phrygian, Lydian, Mixolydian, Locrian. Exotic scales like Egyptian, Persian, Hirajoshi, and more. Many of ScaleBank's features are free but, for just $4.49 per month or $35.99 per year, a ScaleBank All Access subscription provides full access to all scales, patterns, and drills. If you decide to purchase a subscription to ScaleBank All Access, an initial payment will be charged to your iTunes account. Your subscription will automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current subscription period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of each subscription period, at a rate of $4.49 per month or $35.99 per year. You can turn off auto-renewal at any time via your iTunes Account Settings. You can find our privacy policy at https://chordbank.com/privacy, and our terms of service at https://chordbank.com/terms-of-service. We hope ScaleBank helps you play your best, learn, practice, and play guitar the way you've always wanted to. The more I learn guitar, the more I realize this app has to offer. There's no piece of gear you can get that will improve your sound and playing anywhere near what practicing using these tools will do.
  • Great App!

If you’re familiar with the Guitar Grimoire Black Book, then you’ll feel right at home here. I love this app better because it gives you practice drills, backing tracks, and allows you to see the fingerings, notes, or intervals (whichever you prefer). It’s also good for both righties and your weirdo friends. I sort of feel that the annual $29.99 sub is rather steep, as it appears that there aren’t any real substantial “updates” or new features that keep the app fresh; this may or may not be a consideration for you. Overall, I love the app on my iPad, but I’m not sure if it will be as great on the iPhone’s smaller screen?
  • Good way to practice scales.

This is a pretty good app (the parts I can access for free, that is). The only criticism I have is that the Acoustic guitar sound isn’t that great, but that’s a low level issue. I’d really like to make use of some more scales but I just don’t want another subscription in my life. I’d happily do a one-time payment for separate sections.

Subscription models agave ruined the App Store. You end up paying thousands for an app you will never own. I will NEVER subscribe to an app. Please just let us buy a full version at a reasonable price instead of being greedy. Apps used to cost .99 cents. It’s out of control now.
  • STAY AWAY!!!

I paid for this app years ago, and it was a good app. But now they want a subscription to access what I paid for years ago. There are many great alternative apps without subscriptions. I recommend getting one of those apps instead. STAY AWAY FROM THIS APP!!!

I had trouble learning scales at first. Just looking them up online and never really memorizing them just learning them in the moment . But when I started using this I noticed the parents been tween the scales and sped up my learning so much.

I love this app in its simplicity and usability. All the most common scales clearly presented on a fret board. Option to have metronome on or off. Once you get a scale down you can try your hand at soloing over some tracks. Other useful options as well. Endorse!
