I’ve used the online version of this for years. I love it, tracks anything you want really and produces reports that clients like. like any data collection system it depends on user input, but all I have to do is click start clock and stop clock, the rest is the work of Cube. It also track open documents so if you work on a doc then close it, your times will be accurate. It syncs with claendars another seamless way it tracks time.

3 months of data randomly lost. Says the google apps acct that I log in with is disabled. (which it's not). Paid for the in app upgrade to pro (have receipt) but still only have standard. Been waiting for response from support. Very disappointed.
  • Weird, clumsy, non-standard interface. A real pain.

All the settings are done with a strange, sequential rather than tabbed interface. You can't just make a change and save it, you have to navigate your way to the setting, then navigate all the way back to the first page to save your changes. That's a major pain, because it takes at least twice as much work and twice as much time as it should. There is no menu bar for the clock or for starting or stopping time, or icon badge with elapsed time either. In fact, when you close the window, the whole program quits, which is a very bad idea for this kind of app. The basic functionality looks good. If the interface weren't so weird, and if it didn't do so many things in "non-Apple" ways, I might actually recommend it. But as it is, I'm going to uninstall it. It's a waste of my time.
  • Date format and Logo/header

I only gave this app 3 stars because it uses the european date format and I have found no setting to change it to U.S. format, also no way to add company logo to header on exported documents
  • So very buggy

This app would be great if it actually worked. Several bugs, including one which keeps resetting the project and task when you click "Start Timer", rendering the app useless. Also unable to delete a client without deleting all recorded time, tasks and projects one-by-one for that client first. Incredibly tedious.
  • iPad app working great on the Mac

The app looks and works exactly like its excellent iPad version. Information architecture is thoughtful - time belongs to tasks and tasks belong to projects - while providing you with a great level of flexibility. Syncing between iPad, iPhone and Mac version works great as well. The main reason for paying - other than apprciating the developers who put this together - is to have the ability to export reports. You need to have some data in the app to actually see anything in the reports but from my several tests it appears to be working. The one thing the developers could to make the app better is add tab stops - like in a normal desktop app. Tabbing between form fields appear to not work - probably because the code expects screen taps - not really available in the desktop world yet. In short - an app you would enjoy putting time into and worth paying for!
  • Very Initutive. Very Good App.

I've been searching for an intuitive app that made it easy to track multiple tasks every day… and to see the big picture each week. Cube has done just that.
  • Neat idea but could use improvements

I love that I can start a timer on a specific project very quickly. And the ease of setting up clients, projects, and tasks is great. However, if I forget to turn off the timer and need to stop it then adjust the hours, I find the app tries to find a start and end date and the hours are so skewed that it's best for me to shut down the app then re-start it before trying to fix any hours. Minor inconvenience once you figure out how to get around the bug. I'm not sure if there is a feature I can't find but once I invoice, I would like to be able to group those hours and archive them so that I can more easily track non-invoiced hours. A simple "create invoice" feature would be handy, too and likely take care of this problem. There is also an annoying message that shows when I go off network then return - no need to show that message, just take care of the issue in the background without bugging your users. The idea afterall is time efficiency, so every click, every second counts for users of this app. Overall, it works, it's a neat little app and mostly does what it needs to do. I expect there are apps out there that are more user-friendly though so my suggestion is that Cube invest in great UX Designers and let them really get their hands on this product to bring the UX to the next level.
