Description

Leviton has developed a stand-alone iOS app for controlling the Hi-Fi 2 4x4 distributed audio system from an iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch. Compatible distributed audio systems include the Hi-Fi 2 4x4 (Four Zone, Four Source) and the Hi-Fi 2 8x8 (Eight Zone, Eight Source, expandable to 16 Zone, 8 Source). The app replicates the familiar Volume Source Control, the Hi-Fi 2's in-wall control, and uses the same multi-push functionality for advanced audio settings.

    The only thing I can do on this app is change the volume on the zone that first opens up. If I try to switch to another source - crash. If I try to switch to another zone - crash. Useless. Up until a few months ago it was working fine. Customer support is MIA.

    Never worked correctly from the day it was installed. Have to frequently unplug the receiver and uninstall the app. If you’re streaming musing from your phone and get a call or text message the music will shut off and rarely come back on. Go with Sonos.

    How did they screw up something that was seamless? I’ve had a HiFi2 system since 2008. It got fried- my bad. I’ve since reinstalled 3 units with the first 2 not working at all and the 3rd one now only working wiith the archaic phone app/ when it feels like it. Customer un-support has been a joke! Blaming everything on COVID-19 to software update/crashes. This has been going on since April- I still don’t have a reliable house system. Very close to yanking the whole out and dump it in the trash. .

    This is very frustrating as I had speakers inside and outside only to find out it has stopped working. It’s very disappointing that thousands of $$ spent and app doesn’t work

    I just built a new house and I can't listen to music because this app doesn't work. Use a different company for speaker systems if you can.

    It was working fine the latest app update now only picks up four zones, I have a 8x8, why is it that every time they update they screw it up? Do the techs check these updates? I hope they fix this soon!

    I am a certified Leviton Security, Audio, and Automation dealer. I have installed many HiFi2 systems and now have many customers calling my office asking when the app will be fixed. I would like to give them some good news for a change. We have been waiting for 3 months now.
