Not sure why there are so many negative reviews unless maybe some things were corrected but I have been a member of other audiobook plans and this by far is the best yea they may not have EVERY title you are looking for but for the price it’s well worth it.. give audible a try and see the difference even kobo is a great one but does not compare I have so many I’m interested in I can’t possibly listen to them all!!

Couldn’t live without Scribd. I used to just borrow books from the library but got tired of waiting on hold for books I wanted to read. Occasionally I will still find books that are not available but that is rare. The selection has been amazing ranging from some of my favorite historical fiction or fantasy to non-fiction and reference material. I was surprised to find a great selection of SQL SAS books that have helped me develop some more technical skills. I am able to download and read books offline and to date I’ve never had any issues with syncing. I can pickup where I left off in an audiobook or ebook on different devices. The subscription has been worth the cost. I will happily give up a few Starbucks coffees a month to access the amazing selection of books that are offered.

  • Scribd is the best!

I had a Scribd subscription in the past, but cancelled after they made changes to the amount of books and audio books one could read/listen to. I am beyond excited they did away with those changes! I subscribed again once I found they changed it back to how it worked before. Our whole family uses Scribd, my Husband, and two children. We read and listen to so many books. I even find materials and workbooks to use in the curriculum for homeschooling our kids. There are so many options for reading and and abundance of auditory books. People often recommend other apps for reading, but I have looked through them and they don’t offer what Scribd does.

Updating my review since the bugs have been fixed since my previous one. Great app and service.
  • Ugh

I thought this was a good app in the beginning but I’m getting so frustrated with it. It’s supposed to be unlimited reading and I get you might have to “limit” after so many of topic, but it’s like if you save it, even if you don’t listen to it, or if you just want to try it to see if you like it, it counts against you! I’ve listen to 3 books this month, only 3 on scribd and I’m already blocked until next month! That’s ridiculous when I’m paying money for this! I am unsubscribing to this. I’m not paying for only 2 to 3 books a month.
  • Was awesome until I found out it’s not truly “unlimited”

I absolutely LOVED this app at first (despite some glitches during audio playback), and I recommended it to basically anyone who’d listen! However, after having listened to five or so audiobooks while driving to and from work over the past month, I have discovered that most audiobooks I would want to listen to are now unavailable to me until August 13. I imagine this was buried somewhere in the terms & conditions (and I am a lawyer, so I should have known better and actually read through them in their entirety!); however, I feel like it is pretty deceptive for the app to advertise “unlimited” access and then limit users’ access. I feel like I need to warn the people to whom I recommended the app. Guess it’s back to podcasts for me! Probably going to cancel my subscription knowing that I can only listen to a handful of the audiobooks I would like to listen to in a given month. I realize this is still a pretty great deal compared to other apps, but I feel cheated due to the promise of “unlimited” books. The whole thing leaves a sour taste in my mouth!

The old shell game. The free trial that isn’t.

I’ve seen the reviews and I don’t like a lot of the issues mentioned look like so many problems I would like to try it though I’ve been wanting to so I think I’ll give it a shot and see how it goes and if I had too many problems I’ll just cancel and switch to audible by amazon. If I can stay here I’ll give it the 5 stars when I’m happy with it

Not unlimited at all in fact it is very limited! I listen to 2 books this month and already all titles aren’t available until next month when they were there yesterday! Canceled the subscription and recommending others to do so too, this company is a bunch of liars and not being up front about how limited your account really is.
