  • Outranks All Others!

Finally an app of its kind where every function serves me and serves me well! Excellent design, user friendly, easy to learn, easy to understand tutorials and customizable to suite my needs. Loads of essential capabilities. Worth every penny to upgrade to full use. Not just for recipes or meal planning. I use it for everything. I’ve created lists & calendar entries for: To Do, Gift Giving, Bill Pay, Appts., Medications etc. etc.
  • Quite good, despite subscription model.

This is handy as a grocery list manager. Auto categorizes items & you can add a stores parameter (context?), though does not appear to sort lists by store. You can add other list types, those are roll-yer-own for details. I've created grocery lists in OmniOutliner, Outliner & even OmniFocus in the past, but is simpler & thus cleaner in Anylist. A one-trick pony, but does it well. Reminder List. It needs a feature to select past grocery items, or a way to store groceries (i.e., milk or beer) that you were NOT currently out of, but may have frequent recurrence in a separate list & Drag & Drop between them, or mark & auto-send to the active grocery buy list. Recipe section is a good idea, will be more usable if it can successfully integrate recipes as well as other standalone apps do. If it can resort & fold recipe ingredients into the buy list effectively. Needs to allow for crosschecking recipe ingredients against the buy list. Also, right now entering recipes here feels too cumbersome. Buying the server subscription (?) lets you add items to the list on the fly, pushed while another household member may be at the store. A flag for late, last minute additions would be nice. My one app-specific gripe is that Anylist is bought by subscription; a regrettable trend in software wherein you essentially buy the app again, every year. That detail has me gritting my teeth as I give it 4 stars. I may not be onboard for the networked version again in a year.
  • Simply Fantastic

LOVE this app. It does everything we want in an efficient easy to use format. My wife and I use this app every time we shop. We use the sharing setting for groceries, and can keep personal stuff in other lists. Glad it’s free (thank you) but would gladly pay for it. Keep up the good work.
  • Love this app!

I absolutely love this app and use it daily. Being able to share some lists but not all is perfect, and I’ve started using the recipe function. It works well on almost all websites for pulling the recipe into the app, and it’s such a handy way to keep the recipes I find online. Paying for the premium service is well worth it. I just had a question for customer support about duplicate items in a collection, and I got a quick reply with an easy solution. These guys are the best!
  • Helps Keep Me Organized

AnyList is great for creating grocery lists, weekly housekeeping chores, and any other task or item list you can think of. AnyList can be shared with family members or others so that updates can be made and seen in real time. My husband and I use AnyList for grocery shopping. With AnyList, we are able to split up the shopping. As each of us crosses items off the list, the other can see the items that have been put in the cart.
  • Way better than Grocery IQ

    By Cath4888
We used Grocery IQ for many years but had problems syncing and lived with but didn’t like the brand promotion. We decided to look for something better and AnyList is ideal. We paid for the upgrade to include a meal plan. On the weekend, we can create a meal plan with recipes that are easily imported. Then one click and the ingredients are on the list in categories. It’s very easy to run through the list in the kitchen and delete what we already have. I rarely write reviews but had to do it for this fabulous app.
  • Great app

    By Cpscat
We’ve been using it for over a year, and it’s so helpful. When we need something from the grocery store, my husband says, “Just put it on AnyList.” I use it for a list of tasks or packing. It’s a great app!

Simple but has several helpful options. I can easily share my list to childcare staff/school and keep ongoing list updates between us. I keep up with everything now on phone instead scraps of paper. Automatic categorizing of store items a big plus!

  • How have I ever lived without this app?!

    By Katewilburn2213
I’m in LOVE with AnyList! I can share our grocery list with my husband so it doesn’t matter which one of us is at the store—we can both access it! I love that I can import recipes from other websites, add their ingredients onto my grocery list, and meal plan by just a few clicks. This app has truly saved this busy mom’s life!
