Five years later better all the time.
  • Helps me find safest routes in Columbus

Columbus, Ohio is full of high-speed, high traffic roads, and gravely lacks protected bike lanes (or bike lanes at all on most streets.) This app at least lets you find the streets with less traffic. Super useful when you’re trying to get someplace that you haven’t been before and want to know the safest route. As a consequence, it can take you on horrifically uneven brick roads at times, but at least you’re less likely to be hit by a car.
  • Excellent!

This is definitely my preferred bicycle routing app! It gives multiple route good options, depending on your preferences.
  • Sad. Used to be Flawless. No more Navigation, they won’t honour my €20 map purchase

I used to love this app! G**gle Maps would have me cycling all over in wrong directions because of its slow response times. Someone recommended Bike Citizens to me, and it was instant success. I bought the Amsterdam map for €19.95 and was good. Now after switching phones, I’ve gone back to G**gle which works most of the time, and now that I’ve tried to return to BIke Citizens they made changes that make it too difficult and hence useless to me. They aren’t honouring my purchase so I will never spend a cent with them. Google works just fine and free at that. Shame on a company that doesn’t honour legacy clients because it doesn’t benefit them financially.

Ive used this app for almost 2 years and it’s really never let me down. The directions do a good job of finding the beat route, and it does a really good job of keeping me off of dangerous roads. I recommend it for anyone looking for a safe bike ride.
  • Doesn’t work

After you pay for it, then you find out it won’t do what you thought it would do.
  • Routing algorithm needs improvement

Even after the recent overhaul, the biking directions this app produces often make no sense. They route me down side streets with tons of stop signs. They tell me to cross busy streets at unsignalized locations. They take me way off course just to ride on random paths on the sides of busy roads.
  • Works great in NYC

This app felt safer to me than google maps in real time on the road. But I would love to be able to add multiple destinations on my routes & I am disappointed that I can’t automatically set my current position as a starting point. Otherwise I’m very happy with this app in place of a bike computer. Get more NYC people on here! I want more from the social aspects of this app! It has great potential for biking communities.

Downloaded the app and was hoping for a good experience. Managed to avoid the misleading purchase requests and got it working to try before buying. Did one ride, worked great. Tried to use it again, but kept getting GPS position is unknown error. Google Map had no such problem with my GPS position, and since it also does bike routes for free, I’m not seeing the point of this app. I did try to make a big report through the app, but I also got an error. Oops! Seems like my GPS position isn’t recognized when I choose to only share my location when I’m using the app. I love irony, but not from navigation apps.
  • Great for commuters
