  • As “buggy” as an outdoor game

This app generally works about as expected for iPhone App. The app frequently crashes when turning phone to landscape position during video.
  • Ad focused even for paying customers.

I love baseball. My father and I used to sit on the couch watching the games constantly. Watching baseball is a way for me to emotionally reconnect to my father who I lost to the opioid crisis. I don’t bring this up for sympathy. I mention it to really drive home the point of my next sentence. Watching baseball through the mlb app is so painful or obtrusive that it makes me want to give up baseball and never watch it again. I have been paying for the subscription service for something like seven years. Each year it gets worse and worse. No matter what platform you are using it on. Where can I even start? • crashes constantly • forgets the hide score feature and spoils games for you! (For YEARS now) •ff and rw functions disabled on some devices EVEN WHEN WATCHING DVR •Straight up REMOVED Siri functionality to the point she always responds “I’m unable to do that in this app” so you can no longer play, pause, or skip anything. Seems intentionally set up to inconvenience you into sitting g through commercials you PAID money to get to watch. • repeats said commercials at obnoxiously LOUD volume • lost line-score and ability to utilize it to skip between innings (sit through commercials) • ALL CONTROL CENTER CONTROLS ARE CURRENTLY BUGGED OR REMOVED. CANT EVEN PAUSE OR PLAY FROM THERE OR READ GAME DATA. (sit through commercials!) • trying to skip the only functional way is the physical remote for Apple TV and it buffers and crashes if you go faster than a tap a second. (Just sit through commercials!) • occasional blackouts that make no sense! Still! •removes features like ps4 controller shoulder button skips for innings and replaces it with useless informational stuff for other games you aren’t watching or don’t care about. •audio sometimes goes in and out of sync. This is only the stuff I can remember off the top of my head that makes enjoying a baseball game frustratingly difficult. MLB team, on the off chance you’re listening to feedback or care about your product or people more than your profits, please listen. Remove the ads. Paying subscribers shouldn’t have to even suffer through the “commercial break in progress” screen if they are viewing a dvr of an old game. In fact, during live game ads is the only time that screen should be displayed! We pay upwards of 120 dollars for the right to view the games without ads! Telling us otherwise will result in a mass exodus of subscribers who pay premiums for this right exclusively! Secondly you need to fix the dvr and streaming. It’s ridiculous that we are in a modern era of high speed internet and 4K hdr TVs but according to my pc linked traffic you are feeding people a upscaled 540p stream at 720! TLDR: remove the ads for paying subscribers and return previous inning navigation to users so as to stop discouraging them from trying to skip the ads.
  • Black outs

Still can’t watch my Dodgers live, I have to dodge the ending score and watch the next day. Other than that, it’s awesome to have for any baseball fan. Full of information!
  • I love this app!!

    By Nanatoad
As a displaced Dodgers fan living in Astros territory, I appreciate the opportunity to watch my boys almost every game!! I love the ability to chromecast it to my TV. I love the notifications so that even if I am busy doing something else, my watch updates me on score changes and such. I love T-Mobile for making this app available to me. I love being able to pick a favorite team and get all kinds of videos and info for them. Great app!! Keep it up! Get the idea I love it??💙💙💙

This app is ok but since the latest update it keeps changing to "HIDE SCORES"! No matter what I try it won't stop shifting to Hide Scores ... And there is no place to provide feedback!
  • Highlights are ruined

    By Bravo88
I've loved At Bat for years. It's the greatest way to keep up with live games. But MLB has definitely screwed up the video clips this year. Where you could formerly search and share video clips, the functions are now removed. I'd regularly send my son links to watch cool plays and help develop his interest in the game, but I can't do that anymore. I can't search for "Must C" or "groin injury" to get the top plays from the day before. It's like MLB, previously probably the most advanced sport in digital distribution, just took a huge step back into the Stone age.
  • Serves its purpose, but incredibly glitchy

    By wet_salami
As a baseball fan, I can’t say that this app isn’t useful. It helps me keep up with scores, news, etc. But, the app itself is filled with glitches that have been around for years. Here are some examples of things that happen from time to time: - The app will randomly close - The “gameday” section is very glitchy and doesn’t load properly - Videos will not play, no matter how many times I tap them. Sometimes, only the audio plays and sometimes an entirely separate video plays - Swiping down on a video won’t exit the video. Also, sometimes I don’t swipe down on the video but it exits anyway There may be more that I’m missing, but this list is enough for now

  • Great App, Latest Update Ruined Videos

    By Tomtomtomtomtomtomjrjr
The latest update turned the video player into an awkward fit. Previously, the player would fill your phone screen properly on an iPhone X, but now the bottom bar cuts off part of the video. Not only that, but when you zoom in to fill the screen, it no longer takes up the whole screen. Hoping this gets fixed in the next update.
  • Could be great if...

Overall I love the MLB At Bat app for AppleTV, but there are a few annoying bugs that ruin my experience every night, even with the latest version of the app: 1) The first time I go into a game, things work perfectly. If I go back out to the “Scores” page, select a new game, and choose a video feed, I see the loading spinner for a very long time...sometimes indefinitely. I have to force quit the app and try again, which works the first time again, and then the charade repeats. 2) The “Hide Scores” setting seems to have a mind of its own. Several times per evening I have to toggle it to show the scores. It then randomly decides to start hiding them again. Feature Request: 1) On the web app, multi-game views REALLY need to allow full screen. It’s very annoying that I can only watch four games at once using 70% of my screen. 2) In the Apple TV app, please put “Live” at the top of the menu instead of “Catch Up”. Surely it’s much better UX to put the most popular option at the top?
