  • This App is Useless

    By KMRAppleTunes
No New issues are available!!!!!! I had really enjoyed reading EW on my iPad but about a month ago it stopped making issues available even though I have renewed through iTunes AND renewed through EW subscriptions. Contacting Customer service is next to impossible — when I got through by phone they said they don’t handle the digital and the digital e-mail took over a week to respond. When the digital did respond they ignored the actual problem and gave me a list of things I had already done several times— Force Quit, Re-install App, Re-sign in. All my previous issues are there but it does NOT show the current issue which arrived via snail mail almost a week ago. I want to read this magazine on my iPad but have now paid TWICE for a digital subscription which does not show up at all.
  • Paper issue available for a week now

Where is the digital version of the winter preview special?
  • Swipe up for reader view

Hey! Did you know you can swipe up for reader view? No? Ok, I’ll alert you to this fact on every freakin page. This app is amateur hour. Shocking that a company that needs to get as many eyeballs on their magazine developed such a hostile app and never updates it to improve.
  • Swipe up for reader view, please back it go away!

    By Sg1dhd
The app itself is a bit janky, but the worst thing is the “swipe up for reader view” prompt that shows up EVERY TIME YOU SWIPE TO A NEW PAGE.
  • They Don’t Even Care!!

    By Imasuperstr
I don’t think they read any of these reviews because it’s been a long time since I’ve used the app and it was horrible then, and I came back to see if it’s changed and it’s just awful still. All the pictures are distorted and blurry and not in high res. Worst mag app!!
  • Crap Ap

    By podgirlfromtheblacklagoon
This app won’t even load my subscription. Just shows a blank screen with the spinning wheel. I will be requesting a refund.
  • Doesn’t remember where I am

    By mwyner
Aside from all the other issues people have mentioned, my biggest beef with this app is that if I’m reading an issue, then come back to it a few days later, the app has reset essentially, so I have not only pick the issue again that I was reading, but try to remember where I left off. Before they switched to this awfully written app, the old one had no problems like that, and would immediately open to where I was.
  • Used to be a good app, what happened?

    By brilliantbluejay
Digital service has been consistently unavailable so you can’t log in to verify account, can’t even contact customer service to find out what to do to fix issue. I don’t even know how long I’ve been a subscriber and being able to read digitally is a big sell. This is very disappointing and should be embarrassing to the company.
  • Used to be ok. Now it’s awful

    By Mojosayshi
This app used the be ok for reading the magazine. Now it’s way too slow and doesn’t hold your place in the magazine. Every time you come back you have to page through and find your place. This seems like a bare minimum functionality and it no longer exists in this app. Horrible
  • A complete joke

    By Embarassed for EW
This app is a total disaster. I have an account, get magazines mailed to me every week, but can never get my subscription to work online. I am not even sure an intern is staffing the AppStore department at EW. Another sign that the mainstream magazine world will soon cease to exist. The app is an utter embarrassment for EW.
