    my review of the Vonage Business Communication system. This system is without a doubt one of the ABSOLUTE worst systems that i have ever had the displeasure of being FORCED into. Their sales department deploys a sly mixture of lies and deceit along with unfulfilled promises. They told me it would EASY. IT WAS NOT. I have spent countless hours over the last few days glued to my computer, unable to operate my small business due to voyage making it next to impossible to communicate in any way other then the built in chat function on their site. The sales department was without question one of the pushiest experiences i have ever had. In retrospect i felt rushed and coerced into making a choice that in retrospect was very much WRONG for my business. They made multiple statements and also confirmed multiple times from my direct questioning about the ease of the operating system and the set up of said system. Now the best part of the ordeal. Actually getting the products. Once we received these phones we spent multiple hours (ourselves not voyage doing it for us, while they did GUIDE us through the process, it still required US TO DO IT). NOT the “we set everything up for you” operation i was “sold”. Porting out number from voyage residential is still in “process” voyage offered us ZERO solution to put the phone system (that we are now paying for) into place. It was with our own staffs ingenuity ( and at this point i suppose you could say experience as we have now been Vonage Employees for a few hours) We utilized the second local number offered by them and utilized a call forwarding feature. Now lets break down the first day. After finding out the a plethora of the steps we had been “guided” on previously by vonage, were done incorrectly. Guess what the fix is? If you said YOU GET TO DO IT YOURSELF, well you would be the winner. So a first day of the system in place has been plagued with bug hunting from poorly instructed guidance for a system that was supposed to be set up entirely for us/ Forward to later that day. Both of the headsets (which the sales department INSISTED we need and locked us into a 2 year prison sentence with this awful company) have quit working. Fast forward to 2 hours later i am still working with voyage in an attempt to get this system working. This system which is built for small business. This system that is easy to use. This system that is easy to set up. The system that will help your business grow. This “System” has cost me nearly 2 working days away from my work, stuck trying to fix something for voyage. This system is a JOKE, and not a funny joke either. I feel nothing but whole hearted sorrow for anyone gullible enough to fall into the same trap that i have. Heres to being stuck in this VOIP prison for the next two years. UPDATE. Upon declining to have a replacement sent out in 5 days, and being essentially told that this service (that i am paying for currently and voyage is very specific about the fact that you are paying for this service on an advanced basis) does not just them overnighting me a phone to replace what is apparently a defective phone. The best part? When will they reach out to me? Who knows. When will they fix these phones? Likely never Update. Vonage has offered to replace our defective device and ship out a new one. Never mind this device is less than 24 hours old, they wish to charge us an $85 device replacement fee in addition to a $25 shipping fee. Crooks.

    This app has never been good and is now pretty much unusable. Calls sometimes come thru and now it hasn’t logged any of my calls for a few days. The phone system is fine, not great, but if you plan to rely on this app forget about it. I’ve been with Vonage for years and the app is still the same piece of junk. Time for a major update.

    No way to download contacts from Vonage. Caveat emptor Leave before your contact list gets long

    I was upsold on the services and told ill get a trial period, well i didnt n got charged twice for not using the service at all. The sales agent refused to take responsibility. They refused my refund. This app is a scam. Save yourself and buy openphone or zoom instead.

    Can’t even begin on the number of issues Vonage has created. Half the texts don’t come through in a timely manner, customer service is difficult to reach and once you finally get to chat with them, they don’t listen or understand what you are saying. They also overcharge for their services that don’t even work. We are always happy to pay a premium price for quality service, but they don’t even help when we have an issue. Quote shopping from other companies is showing lower prices, more features, and are more user-friendly. If you are part of a company that relies on their phone system on a daily basis, go elsewhere. Otherwise you may be stuck with no ability to contact your clients/employees other than your personal phone number.

    The app delays when you type. It’s very buggy. I use the app for online work. Don’t have hardware. Over priced for a mediocre app. Maybe this is good mainly for those who only need the hardware with a traditional office space.

    A communication company that refuses to speak to their customers. Been with them over 3 years. They used to be great and would speak to you. Now it's only chat and not one of them knows the system. Unreliable service. If you want your business to run smoothly on regard to communication go with anyone BUT VONAGE. TRULY AWFUL.

  • Cannot Send SMS Messages

    I haven’t been able to send any SMS messages for over a month. It keeps saying “Message not sent. Tap to retry.”
