  • Terrible Execution

Won’t save progress or even remember which movies you have started watching. Constanly crashes or gives errors that it cannot connect to the Cinemax servers. About 20-30% of the time if you click on a movie it will go to a black screen and nothing will play

I have many streaming apps. This is the only one that does not save your place or remember what you’ve watched. Such simple things for other apps. Why not this one? On Samsung tablet there is no way to rewind or fast forward. Surely they can do better than this.
  • No android tv app

Missing android tv app. No airplay or chrome cast option unlike your HboGo app.
  • Borderline unusable.

The app resets the movie back to the start every time you pause or do something else with the iPhone/iPad. The app also freezes and crashes if you scrub through a movie (you know, while looking for the place where you left off). Come on guys, it’s 2018. Every other streaming app has figured this stuff out. The movie selection is great but the app is just not functional.
  • No Chromecast, really?

Wanted to watch on a chromecast and they don’t support it! It’s 2018 really?
  • No more casting.

I used to be able to stream this through my chrome cast but they apparently took away that as a feature. Deleting the app till it’s added back.

App is great for watching on your iPhone or iPad but useless for the Apple TV. Albeit Airplay is a functionality offered if we want to watch it on a streaming device; it’s just not the same as actually streaming it from an Apple TV (other other similar device). Airplay for streaming entertainment is kind of a dinosaur now! Come ON HBO get your sister channel up to speed too Please!

Needs an Appletv app. I don’t watch movies on my phone.
  • So inconvenient.

I purchase premiums for use on my iPad at work. Literally the only reason I get them. I decided to check out Cinemax, and what do I discover? IT DOES NOT SAVE YOUR PROGRESS IN MOVIES WHEN YOU EXIT THE APP! It also starts again if simply too much time goes by without playing the movie. This is a deal breaker for me. To reiterate, I use this at work. I have to pause movies OFTEN and have to leave them paused for long chunks of time OFTEN. I’ve had this app for less than 2 weeks and I am beyond tired of searching thru movies to figure out where I left off. And it’s made even more frustrating because, unlike most movie/tv apps, a tiny preview window doesn’t appear when you rewind or fast forward. You’re forced to do it blindly. This is such a basic thing. Someone purposefully released this app thinking this would be okay & I’m baffled by that. For the longest I had Starz. Every few days it’d tell me I wasn’t subscribed and I’d have to delete the app and add it again. That’s the only thing that’d fix it. I’d delete it, have to go to the App Store, get it back, and sign in again. Drove me nuts. But through it all, MY GD PLACE WAS SAVED IN MY MOVIES!
