It's ethereal fun using the delay and plate reverb effects and good to see that it can record my vocals when the iRig isn't plugged in. And I love that it loops the recording you did so that you can keep listening to it and the dubbing is fantastic. I find my recording snippets get stuck in me head the rest of the day haha. I'm having a ball so far thank you. ☺️🎶🎸♥️🌸🌱 Update: I'm noticing an awful long loud distorted him when I use the delay effect and I can't figure out where it's coming from. This frustrates my recording. I hope it's fixable.

So...Could you guys NOT ask customers to pay for the same app (BIAS) twice? If I had known, I would have bought it on my iPad instead of my iPhone, but that's maybe something to ask in a BIAS review. JamUp is okay, but you will get nickel and dime'd by every company making these guitar amp applications for iOS devices. Positive Grid Inc. just happens to be the one that -- in my experience over the years -- is less expensive, (but still not cheap), considerably more stable and JamUp will not crash on you like IKMedia's over-priced bloatware, and doesn't destroy your device's battery life, memory, or multitasking abilities. That last part is key as these apps almost always need you to go pay $10 for Audiobus (have fun w/ that experience if you haven't been ripped off by Audiobus yet, but it happens to all of us so you aren't alone). Audiobus and BIAS are similar in some ways in that they act as a sort of "staging menu" for how you can and want to direct the more experienced DAW musicians who run various apps at once while also monitoring their live jamming or recording sessions. Audiobus 3 is actually starting to work better now that it's been out a few weeks, but it was a catastrophe upon its release. Anyway, JamUp is fine. That's all I can really say. It doesn't crash. I'm not happy they have a JamUp Pro version that is literally the same thing but costs $5 up front for the word "Pro" -- usually I would be able to download the Pro version for no charge now that I've paid for everything you can in the ordinary JamUp in-app store...but at the end of the day, I don't expect these companies to think about these things, and complaining about something like a $5 charge is a bit unfair on my end -- I suppose. Whatever you do, make sure you READ BEFORE EVERY PURCHASE OF ANY iOS APP WHETHER OR NOT THE PURCHASE WILL GIVE YOU THE ABILITY TO USE IT ON ANY iOS DEVICE YOU OWN, OR ONLY ONE, WHERE A SECONDARY PURCHASE FOR THE SAME APP ON YOUR OTHER DEVICE IS REQUIRED. You don't want to find out too late that you gave money to a company that structure's their business model this way. Lesson learned I guess.

The latest update solved my launch issue. Limited variety of amp tones in this free version (understandably) but you certainly get a good idea of what the full app is capable of. I love the Jam feature. Perfectly usable for practice as is, but the pro version beckons! Thumbs up.

  • Lint in jack

Be aware that lint in your headphone jack will cause issues with Jamup plug! I thought my issue was software related when in fact I had a ton of lint keeping the jamup plug from fully seating. Headphones would work fine. Cleaned my jack out and now it works great! App works better than it did several years ago, probably in part due to hardware improvement.

Not supported iOS version, I know. But it worked fine up until the last update. The loop buttons in jam mode are very close to share and setings button, I often tap them instead. You have to convert every recording in 8 track in order to see them in iTunes. Anyway the app is great, or was.
  • Love it. But . . .

Had this app for my iPhone 5s and it worked beautifully. Had no issues. I had purchased four of the amps and the effects that I wanted. I also bought the upgrade to the 8-track. I used that and the sampler a lot. I upgraded to the new iPhone 7 and Apple did away with the headphone jack. The adapter Apple has short-circuited my iRig adapter and now it doesn't work. Because of Apple, the app is just sitting on my new phone not being used unless I want to spend $120 for "their" adapter.
