Fantastic app for keeping track of all my look ups on all the Apple platforms. The author is very helpful in answering questions directly. May not be the glitziest, but it sure the easiest to use.

WordWeb Pro is my favorite Dictionary and is one of my most used apps. Great interface and integration with other apps on my Mac. I also have the Chambers, ChamThes, and Collins dictionaries installed and find the tabs give easy access to the other dictionaries. I can't say enough good things about this app. I love the audio pronunciation features. I have a hearing deficiency and love being able to use the audio to hear how words are supposed to sound like. I can click on the audio repeatedly to learn the proper way to pronounce a word. I bought this many years ago and still get updates for free!

Excellent apps and integration between dictionaries by this devloper! I have both the iOS and Mac versions and I always have one open whenver I writer or revise. My one thing I wish--and this is not a complaint--is for translation apps from this developer.

I'm an upper intermediate English speaker trying to increase my vocabulary to reach to the level ol C1. This app is a huge time saver with many useful features that enables me to comprehend many synonyms and antonyms at the same time. And it's still being updated, can you believe that! Thank you for this app!

I was able to perform the insallation in where I purchased it. However, I was unable to install it in another MAC desktop. However, the MAC desktop fullfilled all requirements what this software suggested to be able to run installer. Need some expertise tips here....!!

I used many dictionaries, and finally decided to pay for one because the free dictionary that I have been using for years doesn’t give me detailed English explanation and I cannot see what words above or under the word I am looking for(I couldn’t get a whole view of the dictionary. When you look up a word in a physical dictionary, you can also see other words next to the word you are looking up). This one obvious looks like a dictionary with all the related above and under words showing at the left. Every word has its synonyms, antonyms and derived words. On the above right corner, it tells the types of the words. Anyhow, it looks simple concise but has everything I need. I am happy with it. One suggestion: I cannot set automatic enunciation. I have to click on the button. I wish when I look up a word, it automatically pronounce it. Every app has to try to eliminate the need for action of human’s fingures.
  • Great content for two decades, now in a fabulous App

These WordWeb dictionaries (pure WordWeb Pro in this case) are basically an exceptional replacement for the built-indictionaries in MacOS. The content is very well organanized, and the interface is up-to-date with the latest improvements in MacOS. As far as content, it does not get any better than Oxford and Chambers. Of course it would be amaziang to have the entire Oxford English Dictionary, but that license is impossible to obtain and would cost $1,000. But for everyday use this is a fantastic set of products. If you have not looked, check out the other offerings by this developer. I have used these WordWeb softwares for 9 years (since 2009) before they were on the App Store. They are truly excellent for writers, academics, and other researchers. Fast, efficient with good content. (I am also putting this review on the other WordWeb App Store products I own, because they really are part of an integrated product.)
