Description

This aviation weather app brings professional weather forecasting features to every serious pilot. The app presents pilots with the well known METAR and TAF data in an intuitive and visual way. Scroll over the map to the area you are interested in and get a good overview of the expected weather in that area in a visual way. Zoom into advanced features after that for a more detailed weather analysis. This app provides pilots with often hard to find information such where to expect the top-of-clouds, severe turbulence, convective activity, freezing levels, temperatures and dew points at the flight levels and the expected winds aloft. We added a simplified but powerful Clouds Diagram showing you where to expect cloud layers, type of clouds (turbulence and convective energy) and where to expect the freezing level and the most dangerous areas for aircraft icing. Additionally, we added direct links to the most important significant weather charts in our app, so that you have all the information you need at your fingertips to make a good analysis of the weather en route to your destination. Finally, use our app in combination with the Iridium GO! satellite hotspot device to get the latest rain radar, lightning and airport data while you are in-flight.

This app gives the pilot a quick look at what the current weather is doing all along the route. Need a forecast...touch the reporting station. Great quick app! ATP/CFIIME

Does not allow you to check METARs at an individual location. Can't even see the METAR, don't bother because this app is useless.
  • Winds aloft, don't bother

As a pilot, I've been searching for a good, reliable app to source winds aloft data as a quick alternative/addition to aviationweather.gov. This app might have winds aloft, but you'll have to pay for it. Otherwise there are better app alternatives for what it provides as is, which is METAR data. The layout leaves a bit to be desired as well.
  • Not good enough for pricing model

I don't find this app very useful for the subscription cost. Consider that all of the data you are accessing is free on many other sites so I'm just paying for ease of use / presentation. I would rather pay for ForeFlight. To me, this app should cost 1.99 or less and that's it.
  • Freeze up

Great idea app but I checked two sites and it froze up. Like all good pilots we do things in three's. Froze up every time.
  • No TAF's?

No TAF's = delete. Lasted on my iPad 15 seconds.
  • Too Bad....

Nice app, looks good, great idea. Problems are freezing and crashing, usually associated with navigating map. Sometimes groups of smaller airports appear and sometimes they don't. I give it 3 stars for the idea, format, and effort, but until these issues are fixed the app is not dependable. $5.99 for TAFs is steep, but would be okay if app worked properly.
  • Only free for 2 weeks?

You have to pay to use it...on a yearly subscription...after the first two weeks. And even free trial, you have to pay to see TAFs. All of this is included with whatever in flight aviation app you currently subscribe to (I.e. ForeFlight). I was just hoping for a small, light version to use when not flying. But I'm certainly not paying $30 for the first year for this. Besides, the app takes forever to load. I can search the web and get the local metars from ADDS before this finishes loading. Deleted.
