Description

City Journal is the nation's premier urban-policy magazine, "the Bible of the new urbanism," as London's Daily Telegraph puts it. The magazine offers a stimulating mix of hard-headed practicality and cutting-edge theory, with articles on everything from public order and policing strategy, education policy, and social welfare to urban architecture, family policy, and the latest theorizing emanating from universities and law schools. Since urban policy encompasses almost all domestic-policy questions, as well as the largest issues of our culture and society, the magazine views its canvas as very broad indeed. City Journal holds itself to the highest intellectual, journalistic, and literary standards, aiming to produce absorbing reading for intelligent and discerning readers. The app includes all the articles of the print edition, including full-color illustrations, and much more. There are only a handful of smart, well researched and brave publications out there and this is one. And if you don’t like the article you’re reading, there’s always the cartoons.

I discovered City Journal many years ago & was delighted to find in-depth analyses of the topics addressed. Objective thinking, in disregard of political motives or concerns. City Journal describes situations as they are, not how agenda-driven pols & others wish them to be. If you respect writers such as Thomas Sowell, I’m certain you’ll view City Journal in the same way.

The App won’t recognize my subscription. I log in, it says my log-in is successful and then I can’t access any articles (says I still need to pay for them). I’ve rebooted the app, the iPad, I’ve deleted and re-downloaded the app. It won’t work.
  • One of the Best Journalistic Magazines out there!

Don’t be fooled that it’s all about New York! In actuality it’s about the way many Cities today are ignoring their problems and with insightful writing by the staff at City Journal they point out the problems and way things could change if we had good policies and caring elected officials that want more than just being elected.
