For more info: Need help: Facebook: Twitter: FAQ: Q: Can I create or edit sheet music with this app? A: Unlike Guitar Pro for Windows and Mac, this app does not let you change the notation in an existing Guitar Pro file, or create sheet music in standard notation. It is however possible to edit a single-track tablature with the NotePad tool. Editing a drum track is not available with the NotePad tool. Q: Can I open the sheet music I have purchased on mySongBook with this app? A: If you bought a single tab or a songbook (single buying option) on you can read your purchased music with the app but you cannot print it. If you use the monthly subscription, it is currently not possible to access your sheet music.

  • Limps Along

Guitar Pro is the best software I’ve come across for guitar tabs. Problem is, there are nowhere near enough tabs. So had I Not bought this years ago and downloaded Many songs, I WOULD NOT buy this program. It’s like having the keys to a huge library building, and upon entering, one saws EMPTY shelves. The catalogue is so thin- it’s a Real Shame to have a nice program that limps along on what is offered. A Porsche with no gasoline.
  • Somewhat disappointed...

I knew when I purchased that this is only a player and not editor. Still, I have to rate this low. Highlights: Audio quality is decent Loops whole score Plays selective tracks/instruments Lowlights: Very little of the nice formatting (section breaks, fonts, proportions) from the Mac/Win version is kept. The chord labels are tiny and difficult to read when in 4-bars-per-line mode. Looping of selected groups of measures is not possible. This is a bummer when I want to practice certain portions of a piece. No direct integration with the Files App. The only way to load your gDrive or DropBox files is to use "Open In". It would be nice to be able to create folders to organize your scores. Overall, I'd say it's not really worth the price (I paid $6). My only consolation is the possibility that the developer might improve it. Fingers crossed...
  • Great Guitar learning tool

I love it. Just a few small request, hope you will consider: 1- enable removing songs from the library. 2- add more realistic guitar sounds. Thanks

  • Horrible UI but useful tool

    By am1025anda
The UI needs work. The bottom bar cannot be hidden and wastes too much space. On the iPhone version the tab can only be displayed on one horizontal line so given the limited screen space it is virtually unusable. Automatically flow the display into multiple lines shouldn’t be this hard, right? As it is now, it is an indispensable tool for me cause I need to handle those Guitar Pro files... but it is also one of the most frustrating apps that I’d like to avoid using as much as possible. Please! This app has the potential to become truly great, so please improve it ASAP!
  • OK but needs work

Program locks up once there are over 100 GP7 (.gp) tabs but those same tabs exported in GP5 (.gp5) or GP6 (.gpx) formats are fine. I have over 400 in GP5 format that don’t blow up the program. Anacrusis (pickup measures) are a disaster in both the Mac GP7 and iOS apps. They are handled incorrectly in every way except measure counting. The beat count-in only counts down the number of beats used in the pickup, not the time signature number of beats and then the pickup starts on beat one, not beat whatever. Effectively useless. The fidelity of the Tab display (in any format) doesn’t match the tabs in the desktop program. Staves break differently, lyrics don’t show, note TXT is off or missing, other song text like Instructions are missing. Don’t waste your time formatting your Tabs just right in GP7 because you’ll be lucky to see a resemblance on the iPad. All that said, once you’ve developed work-around for all the bugs, the iOS app does work to show and playback your Tabs (in Guitar Pro formats).

I accidentally purchase this app I want a refund. Please give me my money back.
  • Needs better upload options

The app does its job as a counterpart to the desktop app, but it’s mind blowing that there is no way to open files that are already on my phone. iCloud, Dropbox, Google Drive support is a must, especially since iOS provides an easy way to access those files.

Needs drum tab instrument panel and other stuff. But okay.
  • Terrible.

While I realize it is a phone app, the interface is miserable and adding tracks seems like an afterthought. Needs a lot of work. Wish I had the $7.00 back. I’m not really sure how this is supposed to be usable.
