  • Not free.

This is not a free app. It has you set up your personal stuff as to what you want to play, and your experience, and then immediately prompts you to pay $15 and subscribe to a year of their app, or take a 7 day free trial. I wish they were transparent about the fact that this is actually a paid service.
  • Took Money

The app has a subscription for a premium version of the app, and there’s a free trial for it. I take the free trial but after the trial ended, without my permission it just took 20 dollars from my Apple ID wallet.

When I try to search something it exits the app.I have tried multiple time and still does so.Overall though I really love how it gives a spreadsheet of notes that goes with the lyrics
  • Great user interface and features

I got through the setup quickly and then jumped to the Top 100 to look for Hotel California. The tab charts are easy to use and it looks like it’s got the chords down accurately. Early days right now but after I play with it awhile, I’ll add to the review. Thanks UG folks!

    I love this version.
  • Additional charges!

I just hated that monthly payment you want to add to be able to use the app. And $40 is way to much!
  • Great for Learning Guitar

    By nvillanuevadrv
I am attempting to teach myself to play guitar. This app has an impressive collection of chords and I’m often surprised and pleased to find even obscure songs! It is really well organized, gives suggestions of songs by theme, and offers the ability to click into chord diagrams. In short—it’s well worth it and affordable.
  • Good but has some things that could be fixed

I love this app! This app really helps me when I wanna find chords for a song that is playing or just need to find tabs or chords. 10/10 for its free resources. However, I feel that a lot of essential options, like printing out chords, should also be free. I'll pay for pro chords. I'll pay for an amp simulator that I can hook up my guitar to and sound like the guitar in the song, but some things I won't pay for, like a tuner. GuitarTuna has you beat in terms or tuning, because they offer it for free, along with a chord library. If you made the tuner free, I wouldn't have to have two apps and I would just uninstall GuitarTuna and use the built in tuner! I realize you all work hard and need to get the bread, but not everything has to be a premium feature. Awesome app overall!
  • Best app ever

You are better off getting this app than going to a guitar store to get guitar books.
  • Not just tabs

    By Arkiehog
This app is definitely worth the cost of admission. They show chords and lead tab. The also have articles of advice from some of the leading teachers around. It is full of tips on playing styles, setup, and scale manipulation. I highly recommend this app since you will have a hard time stumping it. I won’t say it has every song ever written, but they seem to be trying. I have only found two songs not covered.
