  • A lot has changed indeed!

    By Paul S..
About 6 years I signed up for OKCupid. The site was wonderfully designed & was truly geared towards finding “that special someone.” But I just recently got back into site now also an app. It’s good, but not as amazing as it once was 6 years ago. The app adopts a simple swipe-left to dislike, or swipe-right to like scheme. It works just fine. But the thing I don’t like about the app is its pay-wall. Even with the constant ads, OKCupid still asks for $$$ for simple features. Like I said before, it’s good but not as great as it once was many moons ago.

Need to pay just to see who liked me, infuriates me.
  • Cant view who likes me

Recently I cant view my matches. I tried deleting the app and re logging in and doesn’t help. Can pay for subscription tho. Whats going on. Has this turned into a scam?? Not pleased at all.

Though it doesn’t seem as spammy as its competitors, it still has its issues. The matching feature seems very limited. Maybe it’s location/availability of potential matches, maybe it’s the statistical algorithms of all the question-answering you’ll do so it can “analyze” you in every way imaginable, maybe it’s the mix. But unless you live near a big city, don’t expect a lot of matches on your list unless your profile is blank. Don’t get me wrong, I love the question system and the personality analyzation, but instead of capitalizing on it for themselves they’re feeding the data to “real” matching sites like, well, Match. I guess Match thinks the question thing is too much for their mainstream site so they give it to the free riders on OKC. So why pay OKC for upgrades and a la carte addons? Just go buy into Match.
  • Finally ♥️

I actually found the perfect guy from me through this app and I'm the happiest I have ever been. Love takes awhile & so the time you spend on this app, searching, may take awhile as well. You have to make your options open to facilitate the process, because when I first saw my boyfriend's profile, I wasn't open-minded and I swiped left. I thought he was too smart for me & that conversation would be lacking, but the next time I came across his profile, i decided to swipe right and commented on his profile. From then on, we started talking, I met him in person (with back up of course), & eventually we went on our first date. Now it's been a month & I spotted OkCupid again and I'm just amazed with how far my boyfriend & I have even come. From strangers to lovers. Thank you OkCupid. - Kayla
  • OKCupid is anti-ugly people

    By Oklahoma80
The only way to get to know someone is to talk to them. The only way to talk to someone on OkCupid is if they swipe right on you. And nobody swipes right on us uglies. Response to OkCupid’s response: Seriously? You’re sending me a link on how to take a better picture? I’m UGLY!!! There’s no such thing as a non-crap picture of me, and there never will be. I thought maybe if I could just talk to someone for a little bit, they might eventually see past how I look. But that’s never going to happen, because you don’t want that to happen. Thank you for not giving a crap about me or anyone unfortunate enough to look like me.
  • Seems promising but it’s a little confusing

I think I’ll like it better than Match once I figure out how it works!!

I meet a few people and been on a few dates. Nothing major but overall it’s a good app for meeting people.
  • Bring back usernames!!!

I used to love OKC! I met all sorts of interesting people and it was great! I have a very unusual first name and I seriously don’t want to have that public. It just really bothers me and I wish they’d go back. 😡
