  • So many benefits!

    By mmegratte
This app easily saves me 15 minutes per morning getting dressed. I play with my closet on my phone at bedtime and am so much less frustrated getting dressed in the morning I put each seasonal outfits in the calendar randomly about every 10 days. I can easily look at a different day’s outfit and swap the days I wear them to react to moods and weather. It takes a little while to get pictures in... I did my favorites and kept taking pictures of items out of the dryer on laundry day. I had better luck hanging them on a hanger off a dark door and a light door using a wreath hook to get them to look more natural in pictures. Laying them down on solid sheets didn’t work for me. You also don’t have to edit it perfectly when you do your pictures. Definitely take the time to enter clothing colors of both solid and multi-colored items. This helps the app do marvelous things for your wardrobe. You won’t believe how easy it is to add a few pieces to have some awesome new looks. When I used the shuffle feature, I found so many awesome new outfits I already had! If you like to peruse Pinterest outfits, it is so easy to make them using some basics and adding a new piece on a shopping trip. If are interested in clothing capsules, this simplifies the process. I’m much happier coordinating outfits on the app than trying things on. I have so many items I love that I wasn’t wearing that are now in the loop. This is going to pay off both financially and emotionally.
  • So far so good!

I sat on this app for way too long. Finally started loading my clothes into it and I’m loving It! I would suggest a way to mark if something is dirty or clean. I think this would be a huge help when planning your outfits. Otherwise you’re kind of back to square one tearing up your closet trying to find something that you’ve already worn. Once you do laundry you can mark items as clean! Maybe even a section where you can see what clothes are currently dirty. Or only make available items that are clean when planning an outfit. Otherwise app is solid!
  • Great app but just needs a few tweaks for five stars

    By Smeier1972
I just discovered this app and I love it. While it’s a little tedious entering all the clothing, it’s definitely worth it. I love being able to customize the clothing types to fit my own system. One major thing that I wish is that it synced across devices, rather than needing to send items, looks, and calendar outfits to and from devices (so I can enter an outfit on my iPhone at work when I think of it, and then access it on my iPad at home). Also, how about a website option for increase ease of use?😊. Otherwise, it’s great!
  • Step Under a 5

I’d give this app 5 stars with a few moderations. •I’ve really like to be able to “favorite” individual pieces of clothing, rather than whole outfits... •I think when building outfits, if I’ve marked something “in storage” then it should not be incorporated into an outfit. It’s winter time and snowy where I’m at; I’m sick of seeing flip flops appear in my outfits! I realize I could just move these to a new category and not incorporate it but then I have to move it later. Please consider these changes. Oh, and when using “inspirations, I’d like the app to take the inspiration piece and build as close as it can to it...

This is the only app I’ve ever paid for, and in all honesty I’d do it again in a heartbeat. As a shopaholic, I can’t remember all the clothes I actually have, so this is a fantastic reminder. It’s so much fun and so convenient to create outfits using your own clothing. Have used it several times when picking out last minute outfits for the night and creating outfits/checklists to pack for vacations. Probably my favorite app! (My sister wishes it was like Cher’s closet in clueless where it puts together matching outfits for if lol)
  • Worth it!!

This is probably one of the best apps I️ have ever bought. Yes, i know, i know. It is $4, but sooo worth it! It took me a long time to finish taking pictures of the clothing, but now i can figure out what to wear any place I️ go.
  • A sanity saver!

I absolutely love this app! I started using it at the beginning of the year and spent ~8 hours adding all of my clothes. I used to waste a lot of time in the mornings deciding what to wear and ended up just wearing the same old outfits. Now with Stylebook I can put a bunch of looks together and tag them whenever I have a couple free minutes, and add it to the calendar so that I already know what I’m wearing on a given day without having to physically lay out my clothes the night before. Those extra few minutes of sanity in the mornings are so priceless to me, especially since I just started a new job and don’t want to worry about what to wear. It’s also helped me to use more items in my closet that I wouldn’t usually wear as much. Best $4 I’ve ever spent. I do wish there was a weather feature built into the calendar so I could schedule outfits by the weather without checking a different app, but honestly that would just be a nice-to-have at this point. Overall, this app has become a welcome addition to my morning routine!

This app has really helped me evaluate my style, my spending habits, and curb my shopping appetite. Great features for such a fair price! However, possible improvements: 1. Automatic outfit generator Part of the fun is putting together outfits one by one (almost like a fashion game), but sometimes it’s tedious. There is an outfit shuffle option, but for example, if I added a new top, a nice feature would be if the app automatically put that top against every single bottom or outerwear to create unexpected outfits. This would at least be the most useful for the packing section. Cladwell has a function like that, but I’m still loyal to style book :) 2. Let you rename outfits I’m not sure why, but having every outfit as #304 or some number isn’t helpful. This one just might be me. 3. Create accounts It’s possible to back up the Stylebook app, but life happens and sometimes phones just quit on people. I lost a lot of what I catalogued because my phone broke before I could back it up. Just having an account you could access anyway (not just through backed up apps on different devices) could be helpful. Anyways there’s still so much to love about this app and it’s been super helpful these past two years 👍🏽
  • Love this app!

I recently got on board with "minimalism", after finally getting overwhelmed with the sheer amount of my "STUFF", including clothing. One thing led to another, which led me to Capsule Wardrobes, which led me to this app. I've paired down my clothing to 18-29 items (not including shoes, accessories, or underwear, and depending on season/layering needs), and have entered them all into this app. From these items I've created thousands of “looks" in the app (I.e. Outfits) that all look great. I love logging them into the calendar on the app to see how often I wear things, what types of clothes I keep returning to over and over, etc. My capsule is just for work, I know some people's include work and weekends/nights but I don't have much of a night life and weekends typically find me in yoga pants or "gear" type outdoor clothes (thanks casual Rocky Mountain Colorado style living!) so I didn't really feel the need to include those items in my capsule or to create a separate one for them. It's SO COOL to see all my clothes, shoes, accessories etc photographed and laid out into coordinated cute outfits, just like a stylist would for a magazine. Whereas in the past although I had a stuffed and overflowing closet I always felt like I needed MORE (regardless of whether I barely wore what I DID have); suddenly now my radically paired down wardrobe seems not only more than sufficient, but filled with endless possibilities for mixing and matching, as well as SUPER CUTE! Somehow seeing your own clothes/outfits laid out as if in a magazine spread, upgrades them from boring old space fillers to model-worthy stars! :-) My only suggestions for the app: 1) some functions are clunky/tedious: - you can’t “multiple add” items to create looks, and if you accidentally click the wrong item you have to start all over again with the “add” button rather than just bringing you back to the last screen. Ex: you want to add a shoe into a look, so you click “add”, then go into your shoe category, then boots. If u click the wrong pair, rather than just being able to cancel it and return to boots, you have to start all over from the “add” screen. Gets tedious when you’re creating many new looks at the beginning of a season. - there needs to be the main menu at the bottom of EVERY screen. It should just stay there regardless of where you’re at in the app. Often, to get “home”, I have to click SIX screens just to get back to a main window. Silly. Please consider adding the main menu across the board on the app. 2) I would love in the calendar section if there was an auto-fill for our pre-made Looks. There is a "scramble" option which I thought would just scramble our looks up and randomly place them on the calendar for us so we'd be sure to not be repeating Looks frequently, but alas that's not what it does. (It actually randomly pairs/scrambles items that in reality might not even go together/match...not useful at ALL). It would just be a cool and really fun option to have the app choose our outfits for us each day (from our pre-made looks) and all we do is look at the calendar and voila! we already know what we're wearing that day without having to do the thinking work ourselves! But overall, I love this app, have used it religiously for over a year now and it’s so helpful and fun! If those few little things were improved to make it less tedious and sometimes clunky; I’d bump my stars from 4 to 5!

This is a game changer for me. Having four kids, a full-time job, in grad school - I just don’t have the time to overthink my wardrobe (and Lord knows I have!). Being able to physically see everything I own is something I never knew I needed but now can’t live without. It also inspired a great big purge of unworn clothing that will make my local clothing bank quite stocked. I now look at the weekly forecast and build outfits when I am waiting for dance class to finish - so perfect for this multitasker! I opt to use stock photos rather than take my own as they’re far superior; I find the background removal feature rather inefficient. Skip a day of the nonfat latte and splurge on this app instead!
