This game is pretty fun actually! I love how you keep all the secrets in this game, like getting chaos emeralds! I also like how you put super sonic in there, and 2 players, but that’s the problem. I can do sonic and tails, but I can’t do tails and knuckles, or sonic and knuckles, that is not the only thing I want you to fix SEGA, there is ads, I mean what!? This is a 1991 game come on! Welp I guess that’s it, hope you read this SEGA.

I bought the ad remover but then when I re-downloaded the app I couldn’t restore my purchase so that’s why I gave it a four star not a 5 star
  • Some Secret mode of some sort

I have had a great gameplay experience on my iPhone and my sega genesis and I really see no differences or issues but I’ve been pressing the SEGA letters in order and holding the screen so the start screen can go faster for my speed runs and I seem to get interrupted and it takes me to this weird screen for some reason and it doesn’t take away from my rating, (I feel like the game itself is great) but now when I get on the game the intro screen gets stuck so please try to check it out pls

  • Great Game, But Why the Ads?

I love this version of the game. I think that it’s a great port and the level select is cool with the cheat codes and extra options for a super fun gameplay experience. In fact, this might be better than the original game, content-wise. But this port has one glaring issue: the ads. Yes, you can get rid of them for $1.99, but for free-to-players, it is a huge inconvenience. You get ads everywhere. You get an ad before you start the game, you get an ad in between acts, you get an ad every time to pause the game. Why does the game need ads for PAUSING THE GAME? And to make things worse, it’s possible to get an ad ON THE TITLE SCREEN! That’s ridiculous! In conclusion, great game, horrible use of ads.
  • A classic!

Sonic the Hedgehog works great. Sonic 1 remains one of the best games ever made for fans of classic Sega games. This version contains the original game, it allows players to choose specific levels they want to play once they have completed the main game, and it is easier to obtain Chaos Emeralds due to the smoother controls in comparison to playing Sonic on other platforms. While the amount of ads can be overwhelming, the ads can also be helpful. For example, a player could be near the end of a level or in the middle of a boss fight and make a mistake… POOF! An ad appears that gives the player another chance without the player having to start all over! The controls; however, can sometimes be glitchy.
