Description

Search for the lost chord by exploring the infinite tonal spectrum of Just Intonation. Relax to chime sounds that you create. Set the sleep timer at night for a melodic slide into sleep. Or set the wake timer to gently rise from an afternoon meditation. Select from the builtin chime mixes, sounds and tunings or create your own on your iPad. All sounds are created in real-time using additive synthesis made possible by the AudioKit audio framework. Experiment with creating your own sound by stacking up to six sine wave harmonics, each with their own attack, decay, sustain, release characteristics. Use the builtin tuning systems or import from the hundreds of freely available Scala musical tunings found on the web. Please note that the iPhone version of HarmonicChimes does not have sound editing capabilities due to its limited screen size.

  • How do you play this?

This makes beautiful sounding wind chimes, but I hear them from the several existing Melodie’s, but I can figure out how to make the chimes play. No touch of anything to make them sound. No instructions. I’ve read every part of the app but I can’t figure out how to make sounds.

I truly enjoy the unique tonality and beauty of this app. The different combinations of chimes can produce lovely, warm tones, and other chime combinations produce sounds that are vibrant or even dissonant. I played it quietly in the background of a holiday party, and after people started to notice it, they commented on how they loved the beautiful tones and how they drifted in and out of their consciousness. I play it in the morning when I get up to set a peaceful mood, but I could easily imagine this being played in an art gallery, yoga studio, restaurant, garden, any place that could use the peaceful sounds of wind chimes,
