Used to play this game a lot back in the day just got back into it. Kind of sad that I lost all my characters, but it gives me a fresh new star only wish I could get one of my characters back though.

Story line fully voice acted its amazing, the gameplay is fun has variety very rewarding.. the daily quests are simple and easy to do.. the game gives you many choices of team plans and stuff, but the most enjoyment is the story and has a section to play the old langrisser game stories fully voice-acted too!

  • Gameplay is good but the summons are stupid

I been playing this game ever since it came out and honestly the gameplay is good but the summons are just stupid because I grinded for weeks and months trying to get new ssr characters so I can get good character but I tried at least in total over 2000 summons and all that it gave me were nonstop sr characters that I already have so my suggestion in order to improve this is either to increase more the odds of getting ssr characters since there are way more of them than sr characters and maybe once in a while include a 5 step summon where people can do 10 summons for the first step and then 30 summons for the second step and just keep ongoing until they hit the final step where they can get a ssr character. I’m only saying this because the ssr percentage is so low for people like me where some of my friends said that they did it only once and they got the character instantly where I somehow get nobody after trying for so long with grinding. If you can somehow inprove based on my suggestion then I will come back to the game and play more and other unfortunate players like myself could come back as well.
  • Drop Rate

I’ve been playing this since it came out a year and a half ago a update made me lose everything. So I stopped playing for like 6 months. Now I’ve been playing for about a year or so and must say the Drop Rate on SSR characters is horrendous. I only draw 10 trinity cards at a time and I kid you not 60 that’s 10 six times and no SSR that completely garbage.

Love that this game is so active and fun. Last update brought a lot of updates and I am liking them, but the recruitment channel is out of control. Let us silence it, leave it, or whatever, but I’m done seeing ppl spam their guilds and the stupid banner scroll across my game play every other minute.
  • Gold standard for strat rpg gameplay.

I have always been an avid strat rpg player, but never played any of the Langrisser franchise until I randomly saw this game through a Facebook ad. The start was pleasant, and presented some sound mechanics like troop options to pair with characters that seemed nice. After some time of logging in and playing a bit more day after day, I started to notice some truly visionary content and design. Encounters and characters with unique and novel mechanics that blow away other gems like fire emblem and final fantasy tactics. The gacha mechanic is EXTREMELY free-friendly, with helpful things like destiny banners and wish banners that let a player hunt down specific characters that they want. The character releases are easy to keep up with, being a simple two per month, and the amount of build customization for each ensures every character will generate some interesting play time for the player as they tweak them to their taste. I personally have almost every character in the game, and ample resources for the ones coming up, while having spent almost nothing other than the time I enjoyed while playing the game. The in-game resources given for advancement are exceptional and will go a long ways to building a roster. This has helped me even to compete with players in PvP who have spent hundreds or thousands on the game. (Most of what you get for paying is some conveniences and extra cosmetics.) The story in the early game is somewhat standard fantasy fare, but the later parts start delving into something far deeper and more complex. Whereas many of the gacha games I have played feel like they designed a gacha and then threw a game on it as an afterthought, Langrisser feels like the opposite. As if they had every intention to make a wonderful full retail release game, and then decided to make it a free game with a gacha mechanic. One of the things especially enjoyable to me are the time rifts, which let you essentially play through the previous Langrisser franchise stories. As I said above, I missed out on those originally, so this was very welcome. The game has a nicely tuned PvP mode complete with in-game tournaments, co-op maps, guilds and a big guild expedition where you attempt to complete it before other guilds, but the other 95% of the game is simply you and the game, meaning everyone else could quit tomorrow and I’d happily keep playing mostly unaffected. There are occasional “side modes” that run such as magic tower conquest and skyline, giving some alternate play experiences from the core game, but the crowning jewel of these side modes is the “golden sea voyage,” or what many players call the “rogue-like mode.” An astounding alternate mode where you find random characters, random abilities, and random items, and must guide a team through a barrage of maps including some bosses with unique mechanics. The mode is different every time it comes around as well. It’s a great place to play around with characters you don’t yet have or haven’t built in the standard game, or to try out silly combinations of abilities that aren’t possible in the standard game. For example, making the evil mage Bozel an expert in healing, or having Gintoki, who gets a large buff when an ally dies, able to summon a disposable ally to throw into a suicidal attack. The crossover/collaboration choices have been mostly amazing. Record of Lodoss War, Gintama, Slayers, Overlord, Ronin Warriors, and more have all made appearances and left us with some unique characters to remember them by. The music is good. While it isn’t to the same glowing 5 star quality as the rest of the game, it is most certainly above average. If you’re reading this looking for an excellent strat rpg experience for little to no money, let me save you some time; As someone who constantly scoured the App Store for neat games to play on the cheap, this one is a holy grail hidden in the pile.

This game has legitimately some of the worst pull rates I’ve ever seen. This is only compounded by the fact that lower tier units barely, if ever, get added to the pool. Hope you like pulling the same 8 units that you’ve got since Beta!
