Description

Public WiFi is convenient and available almost everywhere, but it isn’t secure. You need a virtual private network (VPN) to protect your online life from cybercriminals and others who use public WiFi to spread viruses and malware, steal your personal information, and spy on your online activity. Webroot® WiFi Security is a VPN that gives you security and privacy while you work, share, bank, and browse online. But Webroot WiFi Security is different from a traditional VPN. It adds a layer of protection for your valuable information, but isn’t demanding or difficult to set up. It just takes a single tap or click to activate all your protection features, so you know your connection is secure, anonymous, and most importantly, private. Features: • ULTIMATE PRIVACY: Keeps your identity and personal information secure for your peace of mind • FAST, SECURE EXPERIENCE: Won’t affect your connection speed • EASY-TO-USE INTERFACE: Activates full protection with a single tap or click • AUTO-CONNECT: Automatically keeps you safe wherever you go • MULTI-DEVICE PROTECTION: Secure up to five devices with one license • ANONYMOUS BROWSING: Hides your IP address and location so you can’t be tracked • NO DATA RESTRICTIONS: Won’t impact your data limit • ZERO ACTIVITY LOGGING: Never monitors, retains, or logs your online activity • FULL DATA PROTECTION: Protects your online activity from cyber criminals • GLOBLA COVERAGE: Lets you choose your preferred locations from 34+ countries Why do I need Webroot WiFi Security? A busy mobile lifestyle often means you connect with WiFi networks wherever you can find them – coffee shops, airports, train stations, hotels, restaurants, and wherever else they’re available. But you can’t trust everyone who connect to those public networks. Webroot® WiFi Security is private, anonymous, and secure. This easy-to-use VPN keeps you and your family safe, wherever you connect. • Logging in? Impossible ….

I have an account on my PC which I’ve had for years. Downloaded the app into my phone. Logged in using my credentials. Log in failed. Tried again. Log in failed. Asked for new password. Log in failed. And so it went on. Not happy.
  • Unreliable

Very inconsistent and unreliable, at times renders the phone useless to the point of needing to be restarted. Not worth a time or subscription.
  • SHOCKINGLY BAD

This app is terrible. It would work on some of the laptops but not others, and would work on some of the iPhones but not others. I spent an hour on the helpline with a technician who was very nice and methodical but could not figure out why it would work on all of the iPhones. It is a terrible waste of money and I’ve been told by my IT manager that there are better products out there. So shame on me for believing in the Webroot name and buying it. Also, as an almost comical point, I was told I had to set up two separate accounts because I purchased a total of 10 product subscriptions and they said I could not link them all to the same account. How hard is it to tie the various product codes to a single account??? Hey, maybe I can set up a new account for each one, so I can have lots and lots of usernames and passwords just to manage this product - even though it does not even work as advertised. Webroot should be ashamed. Save your money and buy a better product.

This VPN is “good enough” if the price is right to you. I use it because it was bundled in a multi-year subscription for webroot antivirus. Very satisfied with Webroot antivirus but this VPN drops connection *consistently*, throughout day, everyday. Regardless of wifi or cell service locations, it’s bad. Different connection times between devices as well. PC can take minutes to establish/re-establish. iPhone/ipad: <5 seconds. If you’re looking for IP addy in specific states, not there, only US regions and certain countries.

It keeps logging me off. I hate signing in every 4 minutes. Does not auto connect. I ultimately went with HMA (Hide My A--). Much better than this.
  • 2 stars for UI. Minus 3 for utility value

At this price, coupled with the lack of transparency concerning where your data is going/being routed through, spend your money elsewhere. However, the UI/UX does deserve some credit for fluidity/design.

Renewed in March 2020 still can’t use on my mobile devices. Tried removing and reinstalling- didn’t work. Tried restore previous services- doesn’t work. If you are looking for protection on mobile devices look elsewhere because this isn’t worth it.
